Murder, rape, child molestation... all violence happens in all parts of the world. Believing the contrary allows it to happen.

I live about an hour from the shooting and it is a shame. It's getting bad here. Where I live drugs are the reason for most crimes. I didn't see the news yet but am curious why a guy would shoot innocent kids, esp Amish ones? Where do you live?

This type of thing happens everywhere (I'm in Canada) & isn't because the Country isn't safe anymore. This shooting was done by one disturbed person out of millions, it's horrible I agree & have no idea why a man would want to get revenge on young girls who wouldn't have been around 20 years ago.

I feel very bad for the community where this occurred & from what I understand of the Amish...they keep to their own & don't bother much with others.

You're fooling yourself. Places like Canada and Mexico and South America are deadlier countries. They do not have freedom of the press and thus squelch actual statistics. America is open about their problems and happenings, because if history has taught us anything is that keeping quiet only perpetuates the problem.

You know, we're kinda glad you don't live here too. We take a lot of criticism from the rest of the world because they are jealous and wish they had what we have. Eat your heart out! : ) We got it - you don't!
