in a "Baptist" communion there is usually a prayer for the Elements( bread and drink)...but it is those who honestly participate who are Blessed by God.... Communion is an act of remembrance.... not a ceremony to seek any thing from God.... don't know the Anglican POV

The "Lord's Supper" to us, is exactly what Jesus said it was to be- "Do this in remembrance of me". We do remember the Lord's death until He returns.

Luk 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Luk 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup [is] the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

1Cr 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

When we share the Bread and Wine- us Christians are to do so soberly, with thought. To share the cup with other saints is to state, in a public way- that we are in Christ, and Christ in us. All part of the same Body- Christ.

1Cr 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

1Cr 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular

You mistake the meaning of the word, "communion"- communion is not the bread the wine, but it means, The act of sharing; community; participation. We "heretics" believe, as the Bible says- all who have Christ, share in what Jesus did for us- we remember this, by the sharing of the bread and wine!

To remember. We, all who have Christ- are partakers in His Work, we are all now indwelt by the Holy Spirit. All members of the same body, the bride, the church of Christ.

Communion is a remembrance for what Jesus has done for us. Baptist falls in line with Scripture far more than Anglican.

Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! And the Trinity is true! Jesus is the Messiah!

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what! John 3:16, John 6:47!

Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in JESUS for His free gift of salvation! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).

A prayer: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die!

it is to be a celebration of the new covenant that Jesus ushered in at his death on the cross.
