Default Was this just coincidence or is something kind of freaky going on(Asatru, please)?

Let me start off by saying that I live a rather boring, routine lifestyle:I go to school, eat, go to sleep, and nothing happens. Same with my parents.
Well, the other day, I was going to bed, when I closed my eyes and whispered to Loki that if he's real, I wanted him to prove it, pretty please. (Keep in mind, I don't really know much about Asatru yet-I'm still teaching myself...so...that was a stupid decision on my part, I suppose.)
The very next day, I go to school, get my work done, and go home-same as always.
When I get home, I say hi to my dad, and ask him how his day has been. Well, it turns out that for almost half of the day, he and my mom were worrying their butts off because they didn't know where I was. He told me that the school called in the morning and an automated message told him that I wasn't there. He calls my mom and tells her about it, which makes her worried since she dropped me off at the bus stop. (Keep in mind-my parents always think the worst has happened to me. In my dad's eyes, if I had been kidnapped, I would've been in another state by now.) Anywho, it turns out that the school's system just glitched or something and the call was an accident, which means my parents had heart-attacks over nothing. After I heard this, I was a little unsettled, considering that I had prayed to Loki the night before, but I wasn't really sure how to feel. So what do you think? Coincidence...or something else?

Lol...it's probably coincidence, but what do you think?
dammit! why does the system have to be so crappy?? TT_TT
Like I said, I'm still learning...so, thanks for the advise on the "no-groveling" thing. It's a little hard to stop groveling all at once when you've been groveling to a god of a different religion for almost the entirety of your life...but I'll toughen up! ><

As for Loki...he's the god I can relate to the most. That's why I was trying to mess with him, and that's why I flipped out when something out of the ordinary happened.

When I was in school that same system called home all the time when I was in school and didn't when I wasn't. The system is flawed. Sorry just a coincidence.

Your wondering because Loki is the trickster. It doesn't seem like a marginal occurrence but more akin to spectacular. I'm skeptical of all magic and am not Astra but this is a good example of what can happen. Try to be more specific when invoking.

LOL Fire and strife. All these "energies" are real in the spaces they occupy. If you wish to work with any "god forms" of pantheon that are considered dark, scratch prayer and worship off your list. They don't like it. None of the Norse Gods would care for grovelling at any rate. What, exactly, do you want with Loki?......Chaos eh? I can relate. Check out any books you can by Phil Hine and Peter Carroll.....Liber Null by Peter Carroll in particular.
