Default Appropriate online Asatru group?

I'm looking for an on line Asatru/Heathenry group. But I'm having some difficulties.
I find the whole re-constructionist thing a little fundamentalist and dogmatic for me, but the whole Wicca inspired UPG thing a little too new age.
My ideas about Asatru are strongly influenced by a post-modern chaos background and study of Taoism. Are there any sites at which i would be welcome? and not be irritating or irritated?
UPG is not by necessity Wicca inspired! I know fully well what it means!

I'll star this for my heathen contacts.

They generally know their onions.

Careful. A friend tried researching Astra and ended up being grouped with a load of Noe Nazis.

I usually refer people to these sites, below, but I do not know if they are quite what you want.

http://www.asatru.org/ ,?satr?
http://www.thetroth.org/ ,?satr?
http://www.forn-sed.no/ ,?satr? PA Norse

But, yes, watch out for the Socialists who use the term ?satr?, but are really just socialist hate groups.

Not all Astra are strict re constructionist. It differs very much from kindred to kindred. Some are very universalism and accepting, some are more tribal and family-oriented some are very new age fluffy.
I think it's pretty much down to luck what group of people you stumble upon. If you do a bit of a research on line, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding many different kind reds who have websites and forums on line. Contact them, ask around talk to them a bit and sooner or later you'll find a group to your liking.
Unfortunately it'll be up to you to asses each group and compare them to your criteria. It may take a few tries, but eventually you'll find one for you.

I'll star your question for my Heathen contacts. We have a small group for us R&S Heathens, too, but it's not so very active. However, two of our members are also members of many other on line groups and I'm sure one of them could recommend the perfect group for you.

oneeye@yahoogroups.com - is a diverse mix of heathens of varying backgrounds. There are some who AR more re constructionist in nature, others more UPG driven, and others who are there not because they wholly identify as being Asatru, but to learn about certain deities they may worship along other ways. It's probably the most mixed group you'll find publicly on line. As to whether it'll be a fit for you or not, I can't guarantee that. The most I can say is that it's at least sticking your head on the list to get a feel for it.
