Yes, some verbal history on maternal grandmother's side. From mother to daughter advice, recipes, & even what you'd classify as 'spells' or rituals, an old notebook with a little bit of written (details), I an old bible with family tree & 'other' notes in it. Kind of ironic, since the 2 philosophies seem in direct opposition to each other.
Would I share it? No, I don't think so. With my daughters & nieces, yes, but with the public, no. We were always told that this wasn't for men, but that this was part of being a woman, so I wouldn't even share it with my son. My sister has taught her only child, a boy, some of this & I have mixed feelings on it as it goes against the tradition.
For the record, I'm not a practicing anything, but still find it interesting, although heavily superstitious.
Should you? Well, what would your family traditions have to say about this? Was secrecy an important part of it? The historical value could be great, many could even learn from it, but is it in keeping with your personal beliefs to make it public?
