Daisy, I didn't forget anyone, it's just that I only have a certain amount of characters to work with when typing out a question. I would have thrown "etc" in there but there weren't enough characters left.
The Greatest Love Song
Do You Know Jesus
By Mike McCracken
(chorus)
Do you know Jesus?
And how He loves us
How He died just to save us
Just because, He loves us
Judas betrayed Him
Who once was His friend
They beat, flogged and scourged Him
To where He did?t look human
A crown of thorns on His head
Just another place where He bled
Humiliated in every way
Why, they even tore His clothes away
And there wan?t any time loss
To where, they made Him carry the cross
To drive nails through His hands
He?s more than just a man
And Jesus still loved them
After all they did to Him
He did this for us too
When He said, ?Father forgive them,
for they know not what they do.?
Jesus said that there is no greater love that a man can give than that he lay down his life for another. Jesus did this for all those who believe. I wrote this out of the Bible so everyone will know how great God?s love is.
You forgot the Buddhist tradition, the Jewish tradition, and probably others. Faith is in the eye of the beholder ... if it works for you ... use it. If it doesn't, check out other religions, or denominations within religions.
one is not better.
BUT there is different beliefs that make them the same
*they all believe in one or more things.
*They have a form of word
*they all have there idea and look on life.

These are all faiths based on a god or gods. They are all a bunch of wishful thinkers as far as I am concerned.
The word "FAITH" is the give-away. Faith is just another word for hope. Just because someone hopes for something to be true doesn't make it true. I can hope all day long the Tooth Fairy exists, but it isn't going to make it true. It's just wishful thinking.
Blue sky, prove that God doesn't exist. Faith is easy as a child and gets harder as we age. When you were a kid, you really believed the Tooth Fairy existed. That's the same kind of faith you need in God. You never saw the tooth fairy but you believed she existed. Jesus is the only one in all religions that has paid the price for us. Other religions require that one do good works or reach for enlightenment or whatever.
Nothing makes any of them more or less valid than one another. It is how you choose to interpret and embrace the faith that makes it work for you.
Wow Daniel you're an asshole.
"The Bible has fulfilled prophecy. Every other religious scripture does not."
Being a Christian myself, I believe in the value of treating other faiths, cultures and people with respect. Growing up among many cultures I know that there are other scriptures which also have "fulfilled prophecy." The Bible isn't special, and there isn't really a "reason" I believe in it. That's why it's called "faith." You should try it sometime.
Nothing it's all up to the person and their views as to what is valid or invalid as a faith and someones beliefs ,especially when they are dictated to them by another who feels that they should be a "sheep"/follower not having free choice, and when they are closed minded and not open to that because there are multiple paths to enlightenment which is really what religion is about. Religion at it's core is a word meant to re-link. Meaning to re-link yourself to the Source. Whatever you call Him, Her, Them or It.
The people who dismiss all religions but their own are the only people validity of a religion is important to. (Not including yourself of course...I understand a question is a question, not an opinion)
All religions are valid to the people who believe in them.
I have limited knowledge of some of the faiths you mention, but I assume all center around the idea of a supreme being of some sort. Some also believe (Christianity specifically) that their way is the only one and others, no matter how similar, are wrong and those people aren't welcome in heaven. Kind of a silly notion in my opinion since the majority of the world does not share any one specific notion of god.
I believe, even though I'm an Atheist, that none are any less valid than those they are being compared to. I of course to not agree with the central idea of any of them, but will never assume one is "more correct" than another.
