Default Icelandic translaters / asatru pagans?

how do you pronounce Ymir and Loki?

i have no idea how they're meant to sound so please be very specific, by which i mean use other words as an example, someone said EEO-mir but it isn't very clear to me how they are pronouncing that.

so if you are nice and would like to help me then please say something like:

"EEO-mir" 'EEO' from from the word bee and 'Mir' as in transcendence and Mir

I'm not either of those, but I've always heard it pronounced Loh-Ker (Loh as in the word low and Ker like the word key) and EEO-meer (EEO as in bee and Meier as in the beginning of mirror). And for the record, it's frankincense and myrrh. I hope that helps.

To begin with, Ymir is actually written ?mir. There is a difference in pronunciation in Icelandic between these two.

? sounds like e in "me"
m is just m
i sounds like i in "kin"
r is harsh and rolling.

L is just L
o sounds like o in "come"
k is just k
i is the same as before.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Oh, and the emphasis is always on the first vowel of the name.
