Nationalism (noun) - the policy or doctrine of asserting the interests of ones own nation, viewed as separate from the interests of other nations or the common interests of all nations.
Racism (noun) - a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that ones own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
No, your wrong. Its about having a sense of duty to your fellowman and being patriotic to your culture and country but not hating on other races which is racism. Racism would involve very bad Byrd that no one needs.
The U.S. has many different races (black, Hispanic, Asian, middle eastern etc). Now all of them can have nationalism. They can ALL be proud of America, what it stands for etc. But if, say, the Hispanics are holler in at the blacks, saying that they don't belong, nor deserve to be in this country...well THAT is racist and bigoted.
Nationalism, to an extent, I believe is good. But too much is just arrogant. Led to the downfall of the French. Took time to rise back up again.

2) Many racist and nationalistic groups gravitate to Asatru, but then a lot of them gravitate to other religions too.
3) Nationalism is not the same as racism. Many racists are nationalists, but many nationalists are not racist at all (The Bloc Quebecois in Canada is a prime example).
