Default I have seen Asatru (Seax) wiccans Hindu Wiccans even Christian Wiccans?

But is there a tradition of Wicca that is Shintoists???

thanks!
You Guys SOOOOO totally misunderstood what i was saying.

Why do you think i put "(Seax)" after Asatru???

And i knew that allot of people wouldn't understand if a said "SaivaWicca" so i put Hindu instead.

Don't think i am stupid for putting the things i did up there. i did it for a reason and i would like it if you would not try to make it look like i am dumb!

I think that Wicca is so versatile, that you could see any tradition of Wicca. Although I've never heard of a Shintoist Tradition, I have heard of the Redneck Tradition (which I have founded.) Our foundation is that if our spells don't work, we'll just whoop your @SS. Gotta love us Rednecks!

I'm sorry Raven's Voice, would you like me to put my comment back so you can write 14 more pompous paragraphs flaunting your knowledge?

Don't know? I don't think there could be a christian-Wiccan thing going on. Its an oxymoron! Remember witch craft is the "devil" thing! Wiccan.

Perhaps you meant to say Pagans?
I do not believe that any type or thought of "christian vicunas" exist.

You may want to try and rephrase the question to include some complete and accurate information before posting it.

The Seax Wiccans and the Asatru are two separate religions.
Hindu beliefs are not the same as Wicca either

There are Olympian Wiccans too, BUT they are not the same as Hellenic Reconstructionists.....

There probably are Wiccans who focus on the Japanese Gods as the basis for their tradition.

Please do more research into what IS and IS NOT a Wiccan tradition before assuming that all Pagans are Wiccans

Bobby, Darline',

You have not seen Asatru "Wiccans" - there is a fine tradition of witchcraft in Asatru (largely limited to women), but they are NOT "Wiccans".

Just because someone slaps on a pentacle and says they are now "Wiccan" does not make them so. In order to be a WICCAN you have to be trained in, and initiated into, a lineage, oath-bound, initiatory Witchcraft Tradition that comes from the original WICCAN Traditions.

Really and truly, the heart of "Wicca" is CELTIC. Perhaps one could be a Wiccan and use the Hindu pantheon, one could be a Wiccan and use Jesus and Mary (although that's just a little odd), but that does not make one a "Hindu Wiccan" or a "Christian Wiccan"

Asatru is a separate religion and would not be mixed with Wicca.

Hinduism is a separate religion and would not be mixed with Wicca.

Christianity is a separate religion (and honestly, pretty opposed to Witchcraft) and would not be mixed with Wicca.

Gypsy: I completely "get" that you are a solitary Witch. "Wiccan" and "Witch" are not interchangeable terms, though.

Wicca is a specific group of Witchcraft Traditions, Celtic based, oath-bound, lineage, initiatory. There are lots of other types of Witchcraft, some are: Family tradition, Seax, Dianic, Germanic, Santaria, Strega, etc. What has happened, unfortunately, is that people who have published books on *Witchcraft* have inappropriately and inaccurately used the term "Wicca" for things that are not, and books have been published with only the very very beginner's information in them, purporting to be all of Wicca, when they are not. It is only the neo-wiccans who have their "knowledge" from these sorts of books who say that Wicca is so "versatile" that it can be basically whatever anyone wants to say it is.

Actual Wicca is NOT whatever anyone wants to say it is. It has a theology, it has doctrine, it is not a free-flowing "whatever I feel like" religion.

I am not about to say that you're not a Witch! I don't know, and I take you on your honor. But Wiccan you are not, unless you meet the requirements of being a Wiccan, any more than you are a Catholic Priest unless you meet the requirements of that. And just like in Catholicism, one cannot make oneself a Wiccan (i.e. a Priest or Priestess) any more than one can make oneself a Catholic Priest. One has to be *made* a Wiccan, or a RC Priest.

I myself am a non-Wiccan Witch. I was a solitary for many years before I joined a coven, and I still have a solitary practice. But I've spent a lot of time around actual Wiccans (Gardnerians, Alexandrians, Mosians, Central California Wicca, etc.) and know the difference. My hubby is Alexandrian, for example.

I don't think I am somehow "less" because I am not Wiccan - Wicca is, after all, only ONE of the many types of Witchcraft that have value and depth and wisdom. I am a Witch, and I am a proud and happy Witch. I simply do not (for myself) consider it honorable to lay claim to something I do not have.

***Well, now that she has edited her comment to remove what I was responding to....oh, never mind.

Oh, golly. I guess I'll have to add something here to get up to 14 paragraphs. *smile* Does one sentence count as a paragraph? I hope so, 'cause otherwise some of the above won't count. Drat....now I'll have to spend far too much time worrying about if one sentence qualifies. Nah, never mind. It ought to count; I'm going to say it does count so that this brings me up to 14. I'm gonna be content with that. *whew* I'm so glad I got *that* expectation taken care of so easily! I just don't think I have four or five more "pompous paragraphs" in me. Oh, yeah, I forgot to add this - ~flaunt, flaunt~

*chuckle*

You can believe anything you want and label it anything you want. If you want to follow a Shinto and Wiccan path, then go for it!

People who say "There is no such thing as Christian Wicca" have absolutely no right to say it. Who are they to say that someone else can't believe in Jesus while practicing the craft, respecting nature, working with the elements, etc.?

Just follow Thelema's rule: Do what you will!

Astra, Wicca, and Hinduism are all different religions as far as i know. maybe it is the combining of the two? i have taken things from several paths myself.

i have heard of witches in almost every path.

do some research on the net. perhaps Wilcox.com would lead you to the answer.

bright blessings and good luck

You can not serve two {or a million} masters. There is no such thing as a Wicca Christian.
If there is some new thing called christian Wicca it is just absurd,God forbids magic, forbids being lovers of the earth, and clearly states no witch can enter Heaven,So again there is no such thing.

Could you define what it is you do mean for us?

Gypsy,
Your practice is only a tradition when you have successfully passed in on.

Raven's Voice,
At least you have something to flaunt.

Despite what Arysa said, it's not possible to be a "Christian Wiccan" or "Christian Witch", the two just don't mesh.

Sorry, but there's no such thing as "Asatru vicunas". Either you are AstraUAR wiccan, but can't be both, since Asatru and Wicca are completely different.
