Default Asatru Courses?

Are there any good websites that have courses on Asatru?
None of that "I'll pray for you" shit either!

Other than a good library or book store I think that Asatru-U may be able to help.

Hi Rich,

Much of contemporary Asatru is about building community and culture. While practical info is great, no amount of book learning or web browsing can replace the joys of sharing time with like-minded folk. So unless you're geographically isolated or housebound, I'd strongly encourage you to seek others who follow the faith in your area (some resources listed below).

Best of luck in your search!
Wassail,
Mike H.

Yeah, what Mike H. has said! Asatru is about building families and community ties. There is a lot you can get from books and websites, but it's more about living it! You don't say where you're from so I can't point you in any specific direction. I can tell you that there are many e-groups through yahoo (go to group search and enter Asatru or Heathen) that are open to accepting new members.

Here are a few off the top of my head:

Central States Heathens
Georgia Heathen Society
The Southlands
Southeastern Asatru
Our Meadhall
Odinic Rite
AFA Bearclaw
Asatru-U
Havamal Studies
Carolina Asatru

There are also myspace pages by Heathens/Asatrur!

Do a google search! And if ya like, e-mail me with questions.
