Default Has anyone ever heard of the "Asatru Alliance"?

...and is it like really really Advanced Dungeons and Dragons? You've GOT to see this page--it's hilarious!

Disclaimer: don't confuse tolerance with giggle pants!

Lil
Would they cast spells on me? Or would they have to wait until they got the right roll in order to attack?

i have many Astra friends. they take their religion VERY seriously, and you certainly wouldn't want to mess with them

some of them have been practicing Astra's for over 30 years. i have never seen one cast a spell

and after a few horns of mead, they'll tell story after story after story, in fact, it's difficult to get them to stop Lil

What may be important to some...does not hold a pound of beans to others.

You may think it is hilarious, but it is an established religious organization. And it is no more hilarious than any other religious movements. I suggest maybe you should take a more mature approach, and start respecting other people's beliefs. Perhaps you should read:

I have heard of "Asatru Alliance" and it is an actual organization and is apart of an actual religion and it is not something that you should laugh at!

In regards to the willfully ignorant follow-up question...

Those who are Asatru ("true to the gods") generally display the same wide diversity of response to magic as do Christians: some embrace it wholeheartedly, some don't believe in it one bit, and most fall somewhere in between on the spectrum.

Asatru, or heathery, tends to be a direct and practical faith. For example, if someone inquires about how to conduct a magic ritual for prosperity they are quite likely to be told to go out and get themselves a ritual job. LOL

Back to the original question, the Asatru Alliance is one of three main Asatru organizations in the USA. Think of them as you would denominations. They're all honoring the old gods of Northern Europe (Odin, Thor, Freya, etc.)... they just have different ways of going about it. The others are:
