How to begin ?satr? / Heathenry?

I am just looking for any information or books that could help me on my practice of ?satr? / Heathenry. I have read, "Essential ?satr?," by Diana L. Paxson and I have researched information regarding blots and symbols (and their ritual structure), as well as various holidays; I have looked at some modern organizations for ?satr? / Heathenry, and I have just begun to read versions of the Prose and Poetic Edda as well as the Icelandic sagas. I still know that I have much to learn, and I would like as much information as possible, please. Thank you very much!

While books can help illuminate and clarify, don't forget that it's just as important to act on your beliefs and what you are reading and learning about. So honor your Gods, the ancestors, and the land watter. Your life should be a reflection of these heathen values.

Get on some yahoo groups Asatru lists so you can communicate with other Heathens. It wouldn't hurt to join an International Heathen organization such as Asatru Folk Assembly and I can't recommend their new booklet: For Those in Harm's Way: Asatru Book of Faith. It's a small booklet designed to be carried in a BDU pocket by service members. Despite that it's just crammed full of great information, contains the entire Havamal, Nine Nobel Virtues, Runes, plus Rune poems, holidays, prayers, examples of Blot and Sumbel, deities, etc. Plus, it's pretty darn inexpensive. Other than that--try to find other Heathens with whom to worship. The AFA keeps a list of Kindreds state by state & in other countries.

Adventists both teach and proclaim the everlasting Gospel worldwide and keep the Biblical Sabbath(Saturday) day Holy(Exodus 20:8-11)."Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it Holy." The Sabbath begins sundown Friday and ends sundown Saturday."

Sabbath School begin at 9:30am. Worship begin at 11:00am every Saturday.

God's true Church believes that Jesus is God.

God's true Church believes in the Trinity.

God's true Church believes in the death of Christ on the Cross.

God's true Church will uphold the Moral Law(Ten Commandments)

God's true Church will Baptize by Immersion not Sprinkling.

God's true Church will not eat Unclean Foods(Pork, Catfish, etc.)

God's true Church will be a Worldwide Church preaching the message of Christ.

God's true Church will teach Biblical literal six day Creation. NO Evolution.

God's true Church will have the gift of Prophecy.

God's true Church will preach Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

God's true Church will stand against Sexual Immorality. Homosexuality, Adultery and Fornication are Sins.

God's true Church will preach against Strong drink. Alcohol is not allowed. (Proverbs 20:1).

Remember God's true last day Church will not be a popular Church. Most people will attack God's Biblical Church with vigilance. Satan himself will attack God's Church(Revelation 14:12) Truth crushed to the ground will always rise to the top.
