Why all the atheist bashing?

This question certainly must get 100 answers.

Is there a difference between an atheist and a troll?

well yea!

a troll thinks his JC is just plain wonderful and glorious and that all the words in his (the trill's) holy book came from something all the trolls call "god."

atheists think the trill's JC is simply a bastard if he even existed at all.

For the same reason as all the Christian bashing - it gets attention. Me, I'm agnostic, so no one bothers.

Gkirk : a troll is simply somebody who wants to annoy people like Virginia26 and some others. Just trying to offend and be outrageous to attract attention with no purpose of contributing whatsoever.

I'm an Atheist. What is a troll? People bash Atheists because they are jealous. We have what they want; freedom.

There is a difference. A troll is here to annoy people. An atheist is here to voice there opinion. What all the JC happy people don't realize is that they are not here to be converted. If they were they would be agnostics, already acknowledging the existence of some sort of higher being.

If SOME people (no matter the philosophy) resort to religion-trashing, then it's only fair that atheists/agnostics take their share too. I have read some questions I found to be trolling in nature, but it taught me something---to grow thicker skin, and to apply my wisdom to action: ignore the trolls, it's just words. :-)

If a man didn't believe in atheists, would that make him an atheist? The difference is simple between the two. Atheists can become trolls but trolls can't become atheists. It's against their trollish beliefs.
