Why do Christians answer questions about atheism if they don't think it's right?
I don't get it, why not just let the atheists discuss atheism without any antagonism?
In all honesty we don't need to be saved. It's pretty egotistical to think we do.
Probably because many converted Christians were once Atheists and feel bad. Many Christians were also agnostics too. I guess they don't wish anything bad to happen to Atheists. That would be the real answer, but I bet it is aggravating to Atheists.
Because this is the religion and spirituality forum, and Christians would qualify as religious/spiritual. So we're HERE. And guess why we're here. To answer questions. It's not our fault if NON-RELIGIOUS people come to a RELIGIOUS forum filled with Christians and ask questions . .. . questions about WHY Christians are so stupid and Ada Ada .. .
come on dude, give us a break. You're smarter than this.
Because Jesus told us to COMPELL them to come to HIM. If we truly love our neighbor then we will Not want them to go to Hell! Never gave up on them. Wether they believe in Him or not, we should still try to help them see! Without arguing about it of course. Because the bible also said to not cast your pearls before swine. Which only means that we are not to share the wonderful saving words of the Lord with someone who will not listen and can only find fault. Peace!
Because unlike MOST of the atheists, MOST of the Christians care about the atheist's souls... even if the atheists don't believe in heaven or hell. And on a personal note: all of the atheists that I know have been mean and cruel to me even though I go out of my way to help them. So if the atheists seem to have it all figured out, why are they POSTING QUESTIONS ABOUT RELIGION IN THE FIRST PLACE??!?!?!?!?
Some people want points, some people think they know what's best for you and have too much time on their hands. I don't think Jesus really cares about this stuff.
The flip side of that coin would be, "Why do Atheists answer questions about Christianity if they don't think it's right." It is truly hard to understand atheism without understanding theism, so it only seems logical to enter into dialogs with those who are theists, Christians or not.
I do agree however it is not right to antagonize. I enjoy open discussion with atheists without discord. Discussions that antagonize commit the fallacy, ad ibidem, which is appeal to ridicule. If anything, it is more detrimental to the person using it than helpful because it shows weakness, not strength.
Because Christians believe they are right, just like most religions. But Christians are the most vocal and the most militant about their religion. You only have to mention your another religion or don't believe the way they do around a group of Christians and they go berserk. I'll go on to say that not all Christians are like that. But it's true what they say about one person is smart, a group of people are stupid and dangerous.
I once was you, and now I am saved.. And, yes , you do need to become saved, you just don't know it yet.. And I tell you because I love you and want to help you avoid the Hell I went through before I met Jesus..
