- A person with a PhD in linguistics probably knows very little of astrophysics, and vice verse. A PhD doesn't qualify you as an expert in all fields.

- This can also be evidence for every other religion ever conceived by man since the dawn of humanity...this doesn't qualify as evidence of God.
Belief is a choice. If you want to believe you will find yourself able to ignore things that contradict your belief. Being intelligent or a scientist (or both) will not help you if you want to believe.
A person who is a scientist and a christian is not applying scientific method to his belief.

The person states that they are NOT christian. I'm not trying to have a pissing contest w/the brightest scientists...I simply do not feel, see, experience, or believe that a "higher power" controls our every move. And I DID grow up going to church.
Edit: oops, my bad...yes now I see that it is not in quotes. Well, to reiterate, hardcore Christan's will always say that atheists are just in denial. However, what THEY fail to see is that THEY are in denial; they truly do not understanding what atheism is.
Smart man glad he's on our side, and when theists make the claim of god, you require proof from us right? Well how come I don't see atheists then giving proof of how that claim is illogical. I've posted and seen plenty of evidence on some questions and I just see atheists who post non sense and cry on how unfair we treat them and they still don't answer the question... Read some of the questions, you make fun of our religion/god everything we do.
Most of it is irrelevant. For example, the second line has came out of nowhere, I don't understand why you would say it. In a debate situation, I would shout out there and then "POA Irrelevant" and I would be right to do so.
He has said statements without facts, (paragraph 3; a quotation is not proof of a statement, an observation is. All it proves is that someone thought something). He then says he has overwhelming facts about Xianity being true, without stating any of them.
He then uses fallacies to argue his third last comment; he is saying, because A does not equal B, then A does not equal C. The Bible condones slavery (too many quotes to bother to find each one, so I just posted the link to a website with some), yet condemns women working in a church.
And your last statement is BS. We teach the Big Bang in school because it is the simplest way of explaining what we know. This is why we teach children firstly that atoms rotate in perfect circles, THEN teach, at a higher level, that each atomic shell rotates differently (the third one actually rotates in the shape of a penis; try teaching that to 14 year ODs).
We teach children firstly that only numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 exist, the numbers countable on their fingers. Then we tell them that numbers go up for infinity. Then we introduce negatives. Then decimals. Then x, y, etc. then pi and e. Then sin, cos, tan, sing, etc. Then i. The list goes on.
Also, just because someone has a PhD, does not make them an expert in all fields; I could bet money that they do not know how to speak Aramaic, or know the works of Voltaire. Weak argument.
