Default Atheists, why do you make fun of Christians when you probably were one yourself?

You make fun of Christianity so much, yet you fail to realize that you were probably once like us at one point or even more deluded at one point.

Are you really saying: "ha ha, you were just as stupid as I am now." ??

I am deluded on many points, in fact one of my major delusions is that I am delusional.

I was never a Christian. My mom raised me to be rational and choose what I want to be so I wasn't brainwashed.

Why do you pigeonhole all atheists as: 1. former Christians, and 2. making fun of all Christians? I only make fun of Christians who don't respect others' beliefs.

Um, I think people tend to know their own past.

I was never one of you though, sorry.

I was, and I have made fun of myself for ever thinking that. It was nice, praying, believing, making it feel like you were making a difference, but that isn't a good enough reason to delude yourself.

I don't deny it. I freely admit to my Christian past. But I got better. I have seen the light of reality and truth. And I hope all Christians will someday see the same light.

Yes, I was.
And when some rather intelligent and rational people "made fun" of me, I decided I'd go find evidence this "god" existed so I could show them the error of their ways. Trouble is...I found no evidence this "god" existed. And it turned out they were right for making fun of irrational beliefs. And they got me to think and learn.

I'm returning the favor

Peace.
