Default Atheist how can i learn to be more objective and realistic, I am very spiritual perso

I am very spiritual person I had hard real life so i was always escaping and seeking refuge in some spirituality and religion because reality was too painful. I kind of got to far and I want to comeback to reality and real life or at least find some balance .I liked spirituality because spirituality was giving me what i did not have in real life .love and importance and some power and strength. but i missed real life

Look, just keep your mind open and don't try to refute anything that might have some sense in it. Don't live in a little shell of ignorance.

You only need to ask "Why do I believe what I believe?" "What is the basis for my beliefs?"

If your answer is "the bible said so", you're out of touch with reality, because that's not a good enough reason. There ARE good answers to this question which do not rule out a spiritual life by any means.

If you want to be more objective and realistic, an atheist is the last person you'd want to ask.

Learn about logic and skepticism. Apply them to your beliefs and what other people claim. You will gradually become more objective if you practice logic and skepticism. It will also make you a lot less likely to be taken as a sucker by con artists, such as religious people and marketing.

You already have a certain degree of objectivity, i feel.

Your awareness of yourself is indicative of this.

I think rather you are doing what i used to do far too often - look within for faults when the faults really lay within reality.

You feel that because life is painful to you there must be some sort of weakness...

If you want to know how to be objective and realistic, atheists are the last people to ask.
