think about it: You have to trust your views just as much as Christians! You have to believe that person in TV or on the newspaper is telling the truth. WHat if those fossils were fake? you don't know! the same people who tell you that you came from monkeys also are speculating that the ancient people of the advance civilizations were aliens!! will they ever let you touch their evidence? NO! were you even there when they dug the "evidence" up? NO!! You have to believe what your told is true just as much as Christians!! think of all the things you have been told and reflect on it: you came from a monkey, The fact that were revolving around the sun, all life started from a cell. I'M NOT SAYING IT ISN'T TRUE!! but you are being TOLD this information you weren't there to explore it your self and if it is historical and no human was there to record, it it's still speculation not a fact.
In ancient times the law was the bible that was the science book . We we rent there to know who the first people on earth was. Today we have our new book writers the Archeologists they can write say or create what ever the hell they want and the media can and will believe it the only difference is that they have video cameras and connections to Hollywood props *Hint Hint* . For all you know this could be orchestrated just to create another religion . point blank i have to believe that the nova man is telling the truth just as much as the preacher on Sunday morning.

The thing about science is that anyone can take the time to study it and then check the evidence for themselves. There are many claims by some scientists that I reject due to lack of evidence.
Not really, no. You see, when I'm curious about the Sun, I can look at the research. I can repeat the same experiments and get the same results of Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and other great men of science. You see...science isn't just word of mouth and colorful stories. It's fact based, not faith based. Sorry to burst your bubble...

Im not saying that your beliefs are wrong but was YOU there when the bible was wrote and when Jesus died NO you wasn't. So IMO it comes down to what an individual person wants to believe if you want to believe that you were created by an invisible man in the sky, carry on its fine by me. If i want to believe that we evolved from monkeys it should be my beliefs.
Actually, it takes much more faith to believe in evolution. There is no concrete evidence. The gaps are too large to bridge. Not to mention influential individuals (even some "intelligent" scientists) that wish to discredit God, who can then not be responsible to our creator's.
Romans 1:20 exposes all who wish to discredit the creator when it says:
"20 For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world?s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable; 21?because, although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasoning's and their unintelligent heart became darkened. 22?Although asserting they were wise, they became foolish 23?and turned the glory of the incorruptible God into something like the image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed creatures and creeping things."
Regarding some of these answers, what does science have to do with atheism? Scientific explanations are nothing but descriptions of how God works. Atheism is confidence that God does not exist and to believe such without evidence. Atheism is belief that random chance could make the Universe. Atheism is not simply the absence of belief. Atheism requires lots of faith.
Even for a believer you're confused. You really need to learn more and try harder. Right now you're just giving believers a bad name. For example:

No one says that. You just say that because you don't know the first thing about the theory of evolution. Again, you'd sound more intelligent if you actually knew what you were talking about.

yes you have a point. but scientific inquiry allows us to make up our own mind. we can research as much as we want. the fact that there is peer review and open debate allows for bogus science claims to be given the disrespect they deserve. also scientific theories must make sense based on our knowledge of the world and its workings. but if we follow your argument to its conclusion. we end up saying what is reality. if we doubt the evidence of our own eyes and the scientific arguments that accompany it we could argue..what we see everywhere might not be real. .
You claim that I, a non-believer, actually have a belief system as YOU do. I do NOT. YOU make the claims in the name of your religion that 1) there is a god, and 2) that your scripture is the word of your god. OK, if true as you SAY, you should be able to back your words with facts. As with a charge of murder, it takes something more than your WORD alone to make the case for your god. Show me something that makes your case. Show me the smoking gun of god. The thing about science instead of faith is that it works on facts, experiments anyone can replicate themselves to see the same result. Cold Fusion was a fake. People simply could not replicate the experiments the idiots though they could pass off as science. If you think fossils are fake, I guess you also think the moon landings were faked as well... My FAITH is in science that it CAN find a fake and expose it to reveal the truth. Evolution is STILL a theory BECAUSE, as YOU SAY, we weren't around then. We simply do NOT have enough recorded history to make a conclusion. YOU ARE CORRECT! However, at least evolution had INDICATORS via fossil and skeleton evidence that it IS possible! Creationism has absolutely ZERO indicators that it happened or even is possible. To show creation is even possible, you must first show there IS a god to DO the creating. Show me the smoking gun of god, and I'll consider the possibility of creation...

Are they really? Apart from Richard Dawkins admitting it is a remote possibility, which it is, I am not aware that anyone actually takes this seriously. Most evolutionary biologists know enough about space and time, and biology to realize that visits from alien civilization are so improbable as to be called all but impossible. What kind of gape mouthed, wide eyed gullible do you think they are? What kind of gape mouthed, wide eyed gullible do you think I am to swallow an objection like that?
Was I there when fossils were dug up? Not quite, but I have taken fossil shells and coprolite's from drill cores taken from oil shale deposits, I have seen one fossil tooth embedded in an oil shale sample and another taken from another oil shale sample by one of my colleagues. I have seen a fossil fern leaf and a fossil fish the size of a sardine in dirt bands near coal seams picked up by other colleagues and fossil tree sap in a lump of coal. Only the last of these was in a museum. The museum was not interested in the coprolite's, the snail shells, the leaf, the fish or the teeth. Why? Because they already had dozens of them.
Do you know why you are not permitted to touch the rarer fossils? Because (1) Some are very delicate. (2) Fossils collectors will pay big money for stolen fossils and (3) Creationists cannot be trusted not to try to destroy them, just as they vandalize signs, school or library books that contain references to evolution. And don't claim that never happened.
Why are the records of patent offices stuffed with thousands of patent applications and patents detailing different varieties of the same genes if mutations do not happen? Why is this genetic information is entirely consistent with biological evolution? Why are scientific journals continually publishing articles on the evolution of everything from viruses through agricultural pests to mammals including humans? Did you even know that scientific journals and patent documents existed? Well you know now.
What are there terabytes of this genetic information in computer storage? Why do companies like Genentech, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Monsanto and all pesticide, herbicide and drug manufacturers depend on modern biology which in turn depends on the fact of evolution if evolution does not and did not happen? Why don't you go tell the managing directors evolution is not a fact and see how far you get?
Do you understand what archeologists do? Do they concern themselves with pre-human material or do they investigate the traces of old cities, pottery, houses, farms, mines, dams, tombs and things built or made by people?
Did you know that the first dinosaur fossils were found when Los Angeles was an obscure village on the west coast of North America and Hollywood didn't exist (Hint hint)? Did you know that hominid or anthropoind fossils were found in Java only a year or so after the invention of the movie camera? What connection did the Hollander Eugene Dubois in Java in the 1890s have with anything American at all? Why are you displaying such an ignorance of both history and science?
