I have read the post from Liz which indeed raises interesting points. If we are not allowed to carve images does this mean we are not allowed to do woodwork or wood turning, or does it mean all forms of art such as sculpting in materials such as clay? Is painting pictures of real things forbidden? Or does it mean you can do any form of art but it all has to be abstract art. What about photography? That is the most literal form of artistically copying a real thing. Its a mind boggling subject, this second commandment.
