You mean impossible. Not for long really, but a Christian can try hard, but it's painful.

I'm an atheist with many christian friends. As long as they don't try to convert me, there's no problem

I get along with many Christians. It's a matter of respecting one another.

bickering isn't so bad. I'd rather have that than religious violence.

Exclude the ones that go Paladin on Athetists or other religions, then no, it's not "impossible"

I'd like to think it possible, but when the rhetoric is just as biting as it is in politics I severely doubt it. The compartmentalization also plays a factor in it.

it's easy, keep your beliefs to yourself, talk about sports, and weather, and anything other than religion and politics.

It's definitely possible providing we can respect each other and not try to change each other.

If they are both open minded, then sure.

I know an Atheist married to a Christian.

its very much possible. alto of my friends are atheist and I'm christian. its more probable for Christians to be friends with atheists actually because they can get a good friendship and save someone at the same time

If as a Christian I couldn't be friends with an atheist I couldn't be friends with baptists, Mormons, JWs, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindu etc but I am fine with them and atheists.

A good friend of mine is Atheist. I don't agree with it but he's still a good person. He believes in evolution and has a very scientific way of looking at everything. I pray for him everyday still. But it's pretty fun to have debates about his views and mine and seeing each others points of view.

Not at all! I even know of quite a few marriages between Christians and atheists or agnostics--and I bet you can guess which spouse is usually which.

Yes it is possible to get along with Christians, speaking from an atheist point of view. My friends are a majority of them anyway are Christians; my best friend just came out one day to tell me she was upset of my being atheist and she would try to let me see that Christianity is the way to go. At that time I did not argue or reply because she is my friend and I did not want to break our friendship over this topic, she hasn't brought it up since.
