k this is for people who dint understand simple English what is atheism exactly because i have heard many different stories of it and many definitions, this is my position
i dint believe in and religion, any god, any sort of spirit or afterlife, any sort of holly book or papers, or any of that crap
yeah it means you don't believe in God, but some still believe in Sprite stuff. Some think they is no way to prove or disprove it so they chose not to believe in anything. But I would rather believe in something and find out that it's not true. Then go to hell and wished i Believed

Atheists think, they don't believe. I THINK there is no god...I don't believe there is no god. I have REASON to live. I do not believe to live. Religious Believers don't think very much...if they did, they couldn't be religious.

There are atheists, but this refers simply to people who do not believe in the existence of gods. That is not the same as believing that there are no gods (egg. we don't call people who don't believe in the existence of the Loch Ness monster Amonsterists and we don't say they practice Amonsterism).

That's all it is. It isn't necessarily a belief or a belief system, as a baby is an atheist (they can't believe in god - they're a baby!). It doesn't actually matter whether someone simply has never heard of a particular god or actively disbelieves (or believes that they do not exist) - its all the same, its all atheism.

Theism does not intrinsically mean animal sacrifice, special dietary requirements, funny clothes or attempting to convert every animate thing that come along.
Atheism similarly doesn't intrinsically mean anything beyond it's stated definition. It does not mean an acceptance of certain scientific theories, it does not mean a hatred of any particular deity, it is not the same thing a Satanism, it is not a rejection of society, morality or law.
