Absolutely not.
The USA was founded on religious freedom, which includes not being forced to accept one.
I will fight for their rights as strenuously as I would hope they would allow their own intelligence to fight for mine...we don't have to agree...that is what it means to be free! Freedom cannot be fickle.
Honestly, no. I believe everyone has the right to believe in what they choose to believe in. We cannot personally go up to them and tell them to get out of America. We have Freedom of Religion for a reason.
"Only Christians answer this" <<<< Good luck with that! How would you feel if I asked "Atheists: should Christianity be banned in the USA? Only atheists answer this." Do you think no Christians would answer the questions? If you do, then LOL!
No...how could ones beliefs with regards to the unknown ever be banned? Why would anyone want to ban someones lack of belief in God(s)? Illogical, unconstitutional, immoral, and just would not work.
I'm technically part of a Christian denomination, but am converting to Judaism and will be leaving the church shortly.
No, I don't think atheism should be banned, if there's one thing I have a soft spot for it's people being forced from their homes. If it were banned they would either eject or imprison you.
First they came for the Jews, and I did nothing because I was not a Jew.
Next they came for the Communists, and I did nothing because I was not a communist.
Then they came for me, and there was no one left to help me.
No. I believe there is something in the laws and rights of our country that states we have the freedom to follow any religion of our choosing, and that I'm sure includes the right to choose not to follow any religion. Banning atheism would be breaking the Bill of Rights that forms the basis of our government.
Absolutely not. Atheist is not a group within itself seeking to overthrow our government. they are the people the Christians are to reach out to with the good news of Jesus. The only groups to be ban are those who advocate the overthrow of our government, to restrict our expression of faith only in their chosen faith. These are the ones who directly want to dictate us, the atheist as long as not a political group only offend us when they belittle what we believe and our level of intelligence. I can handle that but the overthrow of our government, those are fighting words.
No freedom of religion. Duh! Freedom of religion. I don't want anyone telling me what to believe so I can't make anyone else believe something just because that's what I believe.
I am not a Christian but everybody should be free to believe in what they want to believe in and if they(people) don't want to believe in God. Let them its their life.
Like you didn't want me (as I am not a Christian) not to answer this but I still did. I think(know) people call this free will, to do what one wishes.
That would be pretty stupid. This country was supposedly founded on religious freedom and the separation of church and state. Oh wait, I forgot that Jesus said you should persecute anyone who has different beliefs than you. In that case go ahead. Why should you care what other people choose not to believe? Aren't you supposed to love your neighbor? Hmm, by the way i am not an atheist, i am a lapsed agnostic.
Well, the first concept of identity the the United States of America breathed out was that of freedom of speech: and from within, freedom of religion. To Ban Atheism, would be to strip away the first and most important identity of America, thus killing the USA and everything she stands for.
Banning atheism = killing America
How would Christians feel if atheists wanted to ban Christianity in USA?
No, because that would be going against the constitution (which I believe we should stick to) AND God saying that man has free will. All we can do is pray for them and witness. God will judge them when their time comes.
It would not be a Christian action to ban any belief in the USA. We are all God's creations and thus we all have been placed here with the gift and assurance that we are free to choose in all things.
