its not a religion but rather a state of mind or lifestyle kinda they believe in things that have scientific and medical evidence to prove that something exists.

No. It's the state of not having a belief in any God or gods. It is the explicit *lack* of religious belief (in most cases; some religions, like certain sects of Buddhism, do not require any belief in deities).

well atheist believe there is no god. and it is down to religious people prove the existence of god and not on atheists. and you cant prove that god exists by saying "because it says so in the bible" as that is not proof.

and why does not believing in a mystical creature who allegedly created the world lead to a meaningless existence? most atheists i know lead a much more meaningful and happier existence then the religious people i know
