Default What is the difference between Islam and Baha'i faith?

and to whom do the followers of Baha'i faith pray to ?

and you explain to me the following text that I have found..

Krishna in the Bah?'? Faith
Bah?'?s believe that Krishna was a "Manifestation of God," or one in a line of prophets who have revealed the Word of God progressively for a gradually maturing humanity.[11] In this way, Krishna shares an exalted station with Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Jesus, Muhammad, the B?b, and the founder of the Bah?'? Faith, Bah?'u'll?h.

so do the followers of Baha'i faith actually believe in lord Krishna ?
Iman Ihsan_1 < i am not asking about the difference between Islam and Hinduism> I am a Hindu and i know that.

Dolores < good information >

DR<Ya..I know who is Lord Krishna and I worship him cos I am Hindu..I just wanted to know how is he related to Baha'i faith>.

No idea really.

But it's pretty far from the original teachings of Islam, if that is true.

Islam teaches the belief of one God, the prophets (which Baha'ullah was not one), the angels, the holy books (the Talmud, the gospel, (the originals) and the Qur'an), the fate (both good and bad), and the day of judgment.

So who is Krishna supposed to be?

Thank you for asking about my religion!

The difference between Islam and the Baha'i Faith is that Islam believes that God's Revelation stopped with Muhammad (pub), and Baha'is don't. We believe that God's most recent Revelation came to us via Baha'u'llah, the Manifestation (Messenger) of God for modern time. We also believe that God does not change His pattern, that there will be another Manifestation of God to come, which will be 1) the end of the Baha'i Faith, and 2) the beginning of a new religious dispensation.

As for Krishna, we believe that he was one of the many Manifestations of God. The same goes for Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, Salih, Hud, and all the countless others. We can't say how many Manifestations there have been, because God has always given one to us, so the numbers are great. We don't have all Scripture anymore, not from every one of these religions. The most recent one, and the Prophet Founder of the Baha'i Faith, is Baha'u'llah (pub).

We address our prayers to Baha'u'llah, although we know he is not God. Because God is unknowable, He sends His Manifestations to mankind, and for us now, it is Baha'u'llah. These Manifestations are the link between man and God, since there's no way that man can possibly wrap his mind around God, no way. Baha'u'llah is our link, our knowable link (as opposed to an unknowable God), so we address our prayers to him. Do we worship Baha'u'llah? No, we don't.

God being unknowable... we're only human, we can't possibly fathom God, He is far too great for us to know. We can catch glimpses, and this we get via the Manifestations. So, we address our prayers to Baha'u'llah. This way, we have a focal point, something we can know to address prayers to, rather than to some unknowable Intelligence out there.

Same thing can be said for Christians, for they address their prayers to Jesus (pbuh).

If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me. You can find both my 360 and Y! mailbox address by clicking on my name. Btw, Dolores is my real name.

Again, thank you for asking!

EDIT: Btw, the Baha'i Faith believes in the One True God. This is the same God as the Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe in. We do not believe in a trinity, we believe in One God, and One God alone. Just wanted to clear that up. We worship ONLY God, there is no other God in existence to worship.

ISLAM believe in ONE GOD, ALLAH SWT. He appointed The Prophets to carry His message to mankind, however, In Islam, Buddha, Zoroaster, Khrisna, the Bab, and Baha'ullah are not GOD nor one of the Prophets, that the Muslims believe.
So whoever this Baha'i faith people are they're against the basic principles of Islam. and i can assure you that they're not Muslim and they don't worship ALLAH SWT like all the Muslim do throughout century.

To know the similarities between Islam and Hinduism, Pl watch the talk show of Dr. Zakir Niak on "Similarities between Islam and Hinduism".

The main difference between Islam and all other religions is that it teaches to worship only ONE God, to believe in all the Prophets and Books. But, followers of other religions like Christianity and Judaism keep insulting Prophet Muhammad because they know the fact that Bible has mentioned about Prophet Muhammad and they deny it.

Islam has asked people only TWO things: Give the People their rights and give Allah His rights. By giving rights to people, be kind to them and help them in every manner. By giving rights to God, means to worship Allah alone and even when u need some, help ask him, rah er than asking idols, dead religious people and so on.

Krishna comes from the Bagavad Gita, in which, he is a main character. Krishna's drama (nature, or the way he was intended to be) was that of a warrior. The Bagavad Gita is a book used by religions stemming from Hindu Philosophy.

Hi, I'm a Baha'i and there is a big difference between the Baha'i faith and Islam, the Baha'i faith is a new world independent religion and we want Unity in Diversity , peace on earth, We believe in all the Manifestations of God and ours too : The Bab and Baha'u'llah, so yes we actually believe in Krishna.
All the Prophets come from ONE God, all the Prophets are in Spirit the same.
