Default How is a gay Bah?'? supposed to seek medical help for their 'condition'?

The Bah?'? scriptures say that homosexuality is an illness, therefore how is a gay Bah?'? supposed to seek help for it if medical professionals don't view it as such?

They view it as an untreatable hormonal disorder and they ask only that the person remain celibate or leave the faith while maintaining good family and social ties.

Im a Baha'i and a Gay Baha'i should pray to God and Baha'u'llah, to help and to guide him, and must grow stronger in his faith. That my friend is the cure.

I'm 5 generations Bahai and gay. Trust me, there is NO answer. Praying and dedicating yourself to the Faith didn't make an ounce of difference for me- or the the other gay Bahais (and ex-Bahais) that I have met. We all just end up being inactive in the community. Once in a blue moon you will find the rare individual that remains active in the religion, but even they will tell you that they have not overcome anything. If any Bahai youth who are gay are reading this, run while you can. If you decide to stay in it, then love yourself as you are and don't let them control your mind and soul. I'll be praying for you.
