I'm a Baha'i, a member of the Baha'i Faith. There are 6 million of us in the world, we're being persecuted in Iran for our beliefs but few people have heard of us!!
Few have heard of you because your beliefs are sort of like Unitarian Univeralist Islam. So it is not that we haven't heard of you. Its just that we don't care.
well that should make you rethink
for 6 millions, I thought you are much more
everywhere I go I find you and I find your presence in many ways and I have been around quite a lot
so for only 6 Million your seem to be quite around; but, your not gaining or spreading as much as you are around
Maybe it will stop if you stop preaching this lie:
Baha'is believe that God has revealed himself to humanity through a series of divine messengers. The messengers have included Abraham, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha, Jesus, and Muhammad. According to the Baha'i faith, Bahaullah is the latest of these messengers.
One of the owners at my company is Baha'i. His son is too. I took his son to lunch several times to talk about his religion. I think the reason that people don't know much about it is because, according to the guy I interviewed, religion is a personal thing. You will find the truth if you look for it... so there's no reason to evangelize.
Beside this question, have you ever preached your faith?
I always think of it this way. 6 million enrolled members of the Faith seems like a lot if we're all in one place, but it comes out to about 0.1% of the world population. You also have to account for the fact that of those 6 million, not all of them are active. In the United States the Faith takes up a *tiny* proportion of the population. So it's simply a message of having the resources to get our names out there. The Internet has helped immensely, but you also have to consider that we're not the only religion that is using the Internet--much less using it smartly.
The other thing I like to point out is not to despair. Abdu'l-Baha has addressed this topic many times, essentially saying numbers are not as important as the quality of believers. We are only 150 or so years into this Revelation. When Christianity was 150 years old, they were still being fed to lions. So we have a long ways to go! There are glorious days ahead for the Faith.
Hi!
i know, i am a Baha'i as well, it is a shame that many Pol dint know bout the Faith, but it is our job to "hasten to those cities and shine forth like unto the stars with the light of the Most Great Guidance" and teach the people of the world.
