Default Any project presentation ideas for the Baha'i faith? Need something creative?

My group of 3 people was assigned an oral presentation on the Baha'i religion. Any help would be great, but this is supposed to be really creative and "wow" the teacher. any ideas? I was thinking a mock-interview or something?

I have heard a lovely play that was done with different people playing historical figures -- the wife of the Bab talked about their life together, etc. You could use Tahirih to discuss women's rights, for example. Or stage a Feast with prayers & readings from Baha'i Scripture -- pull volunteers from the class to take part (can you get away with that?). make the administrative portion planning for a Holy Day -- will give you a chance to discuss history and/or children's classes -- chance to discuss beliefs.

Good luck & ping me if you want to discuss. Try WNW.bahai.org for help with research.

You could always memorize one of the Persian/Arabic chant prayers and perform that for the class. I guarantee that would knock their socks off.

I think the best thing would be to present something on progressive revaluation. I have seen big poster boards made where a big sun is put in one corner, (this is to represent God), and it will have rays animating from it. You could label these rays the prophets of God. Unless people understand the teachings of the Faith, seeing a play or hearing prayers will be meaningless.

Personally, I would go the game show approach in the form of Jeopardy or Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? That way you could use the questions/answers format to explain some of the truths of the Faith.

Good luck...

Another option is to show one or two of the Bahai music videos from you tube.com, for example, you can search under Red Grammer, Devon Gundry or the words Bahia and Marna, then include pictures of the Baha'i Temples around the world and the Holy Land in Haifa and Akka, Israel.

I also agree with Ryan, if you can memorize and chant a prayer in Persian (Farsi) that would WOW anyone.

Good luck and best wishes!
