I have some bits and pieces beliefs of that but there is a few things I disagree with and a few things too strict! Ba ha 'i from what I've been told puts animals on a higher plainer that people! Correct? We partook of what we were not suppose to so our punishment is we have to work with our hands! We are lower than the animals..therefore we look after them we are not suppose to eat them!

I am a Baha'i.

Someone posted "If anybody, very few". While that's correct in absolute terms--Baha'is number around 6 million worldwide--Baha'is are very widespread and you can find them in almost every community worldwide. I'd also like to point out that the Baha'i Faith is only about 150 years old, which on a religious timescale makes it still very young.

ShortcutHerbal Goody: I am not sure where you're getting your information about "putting animals on a higher plane" but that is inaccurate information. The Baha'i Writings very clearly state that mankind is unique in that man is the only being on this planet with a soul. While it's true that the Faith is friendly towards vegetarian practices, it does not mandate them by any means. The Baha'i Faith allows for hunting, for example.
