Sai Baba was an Indian mystic; you must be thinking of the Bab, who founded Babism, which eventually became the Baha'i Faith under Baha'u'llah (although there are still Babis in existence).

I don't think it costs money to become a Baha'i, and it certainly doesn't cost money to go to a temple. But Baha'i temples aren't like churches; they're special buildings, and there aren't very many of them. Baha'is mostly meet in houses and rented buildings, not in the temples (although, obviously, if you live near a temple, you could go to Baha'i meetings there).

You can contact the Bahais in your area (try the telephone book), but there are not many Bahai temples.

How to become a Bahai has been asked on Yahoo answers 3 times recently, see:

No, it doesn't cost any money. There are no fees, only donations that are freely given, and you have to become enrolled as a Bahai before the Bahai community will accept your donations. There are also plenty of free resources for finding about the the Bahai Faith on line

For information, Wikipedia has a good article on the Bahai Faith:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bah%C3%A1%27%C3%AD_Faith
with sub-articles on teachings, history, famous personalities, laws etc cc.. with further links to follow.

To join the Bahai community and share in the Holy Days, community Feasts, devotional meetings and social life, contact your local Bahai community. If you are in the United Kingdom that's at
http://www.bahai.org.uk/

If you are in the USA, go to https://join.bahai.us/Invitation.aspx for information, enrollment, or both.
