I know of some Bah?'?s who came to the U.S. to escape terrible persecution in the Middle East, so they're probably not appreciated in certain areas of the world. I appreciate them, though. I'm a Catholic, but can appreciate certain elements of the Bah?'? Faith.

No. And it shouldn't be.

It's just one more Doctine of Spiritual Death.

I don't think enough people really know about it. So far the centers are in large metro areas and if you aren't there you don't know anything about it. I became interested in the faith just to study about it because one of my favorite actresses, Barbara Hale, is a member. While I consider myself a heathen/pagan I found in the Baha'i a faith that I could agree with many of the tenants and beliefs--much more than in the Christian religion.

It advocates equality of the sexes--Christianity does not

It advocates/encourages interracial marriage--Christianity does not actually say it's wrong but they don't act too happy about it either.

It seems more able to speak to people of modern times.

I have met Bah'ai people and they are very nice people.

that being said, I cannot accept it as a true religion due to the several logical fallacies within Kitab AL Aqdas, which by the way, was not released to the general public until 140 years after it was written. And even now, getting the original Arabic is next to impossible.

Perhaps the most powerful argument against Baha'i faith is the fact that their founder, Ali Bab Muhammad, claimed Prophethood and was executed by his own government. This is the promise the Qur'an and the Bible makes about false Prophets - that they will die and be killed. Hence, it is easy enough to understand that Bahai'ism is not a true faith.

Certainly appreciated by some, ignored by others and hated by a few.

the1factor -- if only false prophets are killed, what would that say about Jesus?
