Bana'i is the retarded believe that all religion are right because it was god's desire to find people hungry for spiritual guidance, and explain himself in minuscule increments.

Retarded because nothing has been a greater source of War and strife than opposing religions, that means that Baha'I god is irresponsible and sadistic.

Wikipedia has a good article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Day_Fast

In brief:
Fasting is observed from sunrise to sunset during the Bah?'? month of `Ala' (between March 2ND through March 20Th) and it is the complete abstaining from both food, drink and smoking. Observing the fast is an individual obligation, and is binding on all Bah?'?s who have reached the age 15 until the age of 70; it is not enforceable by the Bah?'? administrative institutions. Various exemptions are given to the sick, the travel ling, and others

Exemptions include
# Those who are ill.
# Those who are younger than 15 or older than 70.
# Those who are engaged in heavy lab our.
# Women who are pregnant.
# Women who are nursing.
# Women who are menstruating
# People travel ling for more than 9 hours, or walking for more than 2 hours, and those who have travel led long distances, for the first 3 days after their trip.

Los Angeles ? Baha'is around the world will arise for prayers before sunup on March 2 as they begin their yearly fasting period - "an annual renewal of faith," says Emerson Boergadine, a young photographer in Los Angeles.

"It's an invigoration, an annual cleansing," he said of the fast, which is a special time for prayer and also involves abstaining from food and drink between sunrise and sundown for 19 straight days. Members of the Baha'i Faith ages 15 to 70 observe the fast, which ends just before the Baha'i new year on March 21.

Mr. Boergadine, who is 28 and will be observing the fast for the 14Th time, said it helps a person focus on their essential spiritual nature.

now answer...

An individual who is exempt from fasting at any part of a day is exempt from fasting the entire day.
Middle Eastern background.5 Baha'is are allowed to fast at other times of the year but as this is not encouraged, it is rarely done. But, this is the detail i know from various sites, but generally no exemption given, any way you can do prayers. God bless you.
