Why can't Christianity and Islam be more like Hinduism, Buddhism, etc?
Christianity and Islam always try to push their religion unto other people, unlike Hinduism, Buddhism, amongst other religions. Why can't they just let people believe in what they want?
Because one religion has to be the truth. In that case, it's important to remove the veil from the eyes of others so they know the truth.
Of course, I know that many people- especially in today's world- really hate that idea, so it's true that many will be lost in the Last Day, and those who were trying to help will be condemned by the world.
This is like asking why wolves cannot be more like cows.
They are different because they evolved differently. Christianity and Islam are predatory religions, catching and devouring as many converts as they can, while Hinduism and Buddhism are vegetarian religions, grazing peacefully on the people that come to them.
Because Hinduism and Buddhism are based on knowledge. In this religions only knowledge works. On the other hand Christianity and Islam are based on muscle and money power or sword. So always they will try to force their beliefs on others even though people don?t accept them.

Swami Lakshamanananda was on his way to visit Brahmanigoan village. However, a bus belonging to Mr. Sugriba Singh, Panna Christian leader and BJD Member of Parliament (Lower House) obstructed the road and Swami was attacked on that spot injuring him, driver and security guard. In his statement Swami blamed Mr. Radha Kanta Nayak, Congress Member of Parliament (Upper House) and chief of Christian group World Vision. My irony-meter just exploded. The overwhelming majority of inter-religious violence is perpetrated by Christians and Muslims. While there is Hindu and Muslim violence in India, there is very little Buddhist violence (excepting Sri Lanka, which is a whole separate beast).

I think the whole idea that "if you believe in something different from me, then you must be evil and converted" is unrealistic and narrow-minded. But it does seem that letting people believe in what ever they want goes against the idea of organized religion in the first place.
Well. A religion or a philosophy should at least make some applicable and practical sense.
In this sense Islam and Christianity do make some sense. In this sense Islam seems to make real sense though Christianity makes too little a sense for anyone with a sense that is working.
But both Hinduism and Buddhism seems to be for those who were declared to be brain dead.
It is the human desires of the followers rather than the teaching of the very first originator that result in the subsequent thousands of years of complications.
99.999% of Hindus and Christians are getting along very well in India.There are scoundrels/Rascals/Rowdies on BOTH sides,who instigate some gullible--My teacher a Medical Specialist used to stay,News Papers publish elaborately ONLY a few Air-crashes once in a few years--but NOT the 1000s of successful flights ,every day,every Hour--For News Papers Air-crashes is only a News--Not a successful flight.
In South India when the Hindu house owners fix tenants--first preference,they give only to Christians.
The right definition for the "religion" is "relic of region" . Once when certain revolutionists were born and found the administration too worse, he sought options
for the peace-loving people to live and thus the religions were born like Christianity in Israel and surroundings. Islam in Arabia and surroundings. Other religions at other places - based on geography and imaginary history of the regions. As such, the definition for religion has been lost and new meanings were born that Miss-led people and affected the international relationship which is seen now.
At a time the communication and transportation were too less, the life-style and beliefs of people were of the "religion".
During those days there was no Hindu or Hinduism but when the religions were born, those who did not join any religion were called as "Hindu".
Same was the narration of the "Vanna" separation in Hinduism. Four vans were established based on the social service of the people but there were a lot who did not participate in the "anagram" who were called 'Hindu" or "harridan". But they are not "religion-less". Here the man and religious leaders were mistaken. After all, if the groups are becoming more strong, only the leaders get advantage, not to the followers. So religious followers are genuinely fools or equal to the poor animals, who are destined to die for others, and of no use to the earth.
Why compare Christianity with Islam? - have we become such a stench?

Following my generalization, I offer a parable: A certain farmer in a faraway land had a mongoose, some chickens and a few goats. The chickens provided him with eggs and the goats with milk. "But this mongoose," he said one day, "what does it do for me? Sometimes it scampers on the roof at night, waking me. Occasionally it consumes an egg from a hen's nest, depriving me. Besides that, I'm allergic to its fur."
Finally he decided he did not like his mongoose, and he killed it.
Later he noticed that not only an occasional egg, but an occasional chicken was missing, and then an occasional goat! At last the farmer discovered the problem: His mongoose had been
keeping pythons away. Without the mongoose, pythons slithered in and fed on the farmer's eggs. Growing larger feeding on eggs, they soon fed on his chickens. Growing larger feeding on chickens, they were soon able to swallow his goats.
"O mongoose! Mongoose!" the farmer cried, "If only I could have you back! I would not shout at you when you scamper on my roof. You wouldn't have to take an occasional egg for your services?I would give you an egg a day! I would still be allergic to your fur, but better a sneeze now and then than these pythons!

The point: Secular humanists, agnostics and atheists have always assumed that if they could rid their world of this nuisance called Christianity, no other religion would rush in to take its place. Wrong assumption! Mankind as a species comes with an instinct for religion. Secular humanists, agnostics and atheists may manage to anesthetize their inbuilt religious instinct, but a majority of mankind still chooses religion. If people cannot have one religion, a majority will eventually turn to another.
Relentless religious social science academics, exploiting their status as teachers of one generation after another, have indeed ridiculed, discredited and weakened Christianity?especially in Europe, Canada and Australia. Cathedrals are largely empty (not that building architectural wonders was ever a wise use of Christian money!). Church services are echoed for lack of worshipers.
But the secularist educators' victory is Pyrrhian. They have shot themselves in both feet; the pain just hasn't reached their brains yet. They have freely given Islam opportunity to rush in and begin replacing Christianity where they have weakened it. We now live in a day where Muslim oil money is purchasing thousands of empty European, Canadian and American churches and changing them to mosques. Vital Christianity could have had a mongoose effect, given a better chance. But now the supremacist Muslim python is in the hen house and is even eying the goat pen of secularist antagonismon ismits academic freedoms.
They are religions of the Kali Yuga, and have degenerated from the truth, In stead of being all loving they see God as petty and legalistic, condemning people to eternal hell for having the wrong view of God.

Some hindus also are no less they kill their age old people (Swami Lakshamanananda) and then blame Christians. In fact these people are known to murder Christians even if they are as small as 5 and 7 like the STEIN'S children. So why would anyone want to be a rabid scoundrel, murderer, rapists, pedophiles, pederast etc? Why do you want people to become so savage?
