I'm rather fond of the teachings of Pema Chodron.

http://www.shambhala.org/teachers/pema/

Her book "When Things Fall Apart" really helped me through a difficult time in my life.

Another good site may be http://newbuddhist.com
This site has Buddhists from various different traditions all discussing many different aspects of Buddhism. There is also a Buddhism for beginners section where you can ask about anything you wish to know.No question is considered stupid.
Hi P'ang,I believe that" Buddhism for dummies"is another good book. Not read it myself.Have you?

Pema Chodron rocks! She has the ability to talk plainly in ways that we Westerners really understand, and what she has to say will change your life. At least it did mine. And my sister's. And my brother-in-law's.
