Default Have you ever seen someone murdered in the name of Buddhism?

I'm not talking about real life witness - a news story will do.

That's the beauty of it.
Edit; @ Greg...
What your article had mentioned was wrong, the war in Sri Lanka is over and NOT due to religious beliefs. It was a war over terrorism, and neither side had incorporated any use of faith.

There were Buddhist monks in Vietnam who set themselves on fire.

There are no direct murders in the name of Buddhism, but many monks and Buddhists are known to use rifles and grenades to fight Muslims in southern Thai where Muslims have been creating trouble for many years .

The above link is also another incident of violence linked to Buddhism.

Buddhism is about satisfying the self to attain inner peace and enlightenment, i think its literally impossible to murder 'in the name of Buddhism', because Buddhism is more of an act of meditation rather than an outward lifestyle.

Likewise nobody can murder in the name of "Yoga".

If there are such stories they would be rare. Buddhism is a selfish religion. I don't mean that in the negative way as it reads, but rather it focuses on the self.
