in short

meditate

on

in short

Buddhism is thousands of years old and you want someone to explain it to you in short.

rules you want

You have to live it. One does not have it explained to you 'in short'

Loving kindness and Wisdom which lead you to understand the root of suffering/unsatisfactory and the end of it.

"Avoid all evils; do all that are good; purify ones mind. These are the teachings of all Buddhas."
Purifying ones mind is the underlying tenet of Buddhism that may be less emphasized by other religions.

Buddhist path is morality; meditative concentration and awareness; and wisdom.
