An old Brahman priest asked Buddha: "What should we do [to be saved]?

The Buddha answered, "....look for another Holy One who will come and help the world and all of you in the future."

Then the Brahman priest asked, "What will the characteristics of the Holy One be like?"

The Buddha answered him, "The Holy one who will keep the world in the future will be like this: In the palm of his hands and in the flat of his feet will be the design of a disk, in his side will be a stab wound; and his forehead will have many marks like scars. The Holy One will be the golden boat who will carry you over the cycle of rebirths all the way to the highest heaven [Nirvana]. Do not look for salvation in the old way [trying to merit salvation]; there is no salvation in it for sure. Quit the old way, and there will be a new spirit like the light of a lightening bug which will come down from the sky above to live in all of your hearts, and you will be victorious over all of your enemies. Nobody will be able to destroy you. If you die, you will not come back to be born in this world again. You will go to the highest heaven [Nirvana].

The Buddhist main teaching is the Eightfold Path. Repeated reincarnations cumulative in the release of a perfect soul into Nirvana .

The teaching is called the Dharma or Dhamma depending on which language we're talking about, Pali (for Theravada) or Sanskrit (for Mahayana). The highest spiritual attainment is the attainment of Nirvana or Nibbana. The way is called the Noble Eightfold Path.

The teachings of Buddha are described in the Dharma, which is basically just the teachings of the Buddha.

Buddhism focuses on a couple of things:

1. The notion that life is suffering, attachment causes suffering, and that liberation from worldly desires is the only way to escape suffering.

2. The eightfold path (feel free to search)

3. Pursuit of higher understanding via meditation and other practices.

Some Buddhists believe in rebirth (not reincarnation), but it's not a central theme to the religion.

The Four Noble Truths was the central teaching of Siddharta Gautama also called Buddha which means enlightened. The Buddhist Scriptures are the Dhammapada: http://www.hinduwebsite.com/sacredscripts/dhammapada__max.asp (book).
http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/sutras.htm (plenty more resources).

The teachings if the Buddha are called "The Four Noble Truths":
1. There is Suffering Suffering is common to all.
2. Cause of Suffering We are the cause of our suffering.
3. End of Suffering Stop doing what causes suffering.
4. Path to end Suffering Everyone can be enlightened.

2) The highest Spiritual plane is the Nirvana which is a difficult if not impossible word to explain. In Buddhism, it means basically a blissful spiritual condition where the heart extinguishes passion, hatred and delusion. It is the highest spiritual plane a person can attain.

3) This question is too deep to be able to summarize it in a few lines. Refer to the 4 Nobles Truths. Buddhism is to become enlightened and help other find enlightenment too. so you can stop the vicious circle of reincarnation, suffering, etc. So you don't achieve enlightenment for yourself only but for others too For a more thorough answer check this site and read the Dhammapada.

A very excellent answer from @Orla except reincarnation
Buddhism teaches rebirth as everything is impermanent there is nothing permanent to reincarnate and what undergoes rebirth The Alaya the storehouse of all karma but even this is impermanent as it is constantly collecting and discharging karma
Hopefully the above answerer will answer more Buddhist related questions
