How do you compare Islam with Buddhism ? Prophet Mohammad with Buddha ?
Buddhism ( or Hinduism ) could never stop the onslaught of Islam ( a Mighty Religion or the might of Islam) . Just look at so many countries that were Buddhist adopted Islam & Grew mighty.
It was the "Will of Allah" that in the end Islam was victorious.
Prophet Mohammad was a General , Administrator & Diplomat , while Buddha was none of the above . not surprisingly why Islam has always been victorious ...throughout history
Prophet Mohammad was a Great Warrior , a Military Genius , a Diplomat & a Philosopher.
Buddha was none of these...it is not surprising why Buddhism was vanquished by Islamic Invadors ...Hinduism was the next target for the Might of Islam. HIndus suffered because they were idolaters..
I think as a Muslim I will never regret what happened ...since it was in there fate ...which cannot be re-written.Most westerners can NEVER understand the Greatness of Islam or Prophet Mohammad.

Muslim ruled India for more than 1500 years ...India was laid waste thousands of times by islamic invadors ...Islam is By far the Greatest & it produced Huge Warrior Generals & Military Genius ...starting from Prophet Mohammad himself.
The basic principle is that any society and Islamic society cannot coexist. When Muslims become strong enough, they will demand the implementation of ?Shariah?.
Shariah is Islamic law that is based upon the Quran and Ahadith. This is the law that makes women virtual prisoners in a man?s house, causes them to wear the veil, and makes them second-class citizens. It is the law that demands the execution of those who blaspheme Muhammad, Islam or the Quran. This is the law that will not allow Christians to attempt to convert a Muslim and will imprison or execute a Muslim convert unless he recants. This is the law that required US soldiers in Desert Storm to hide their Bibles. This is the law that Muslims want to see replace the constitution of the United States.
Islam has historically developed in four stages:
1. Evangelism:
- Evangelism continues until persecution arises or Muslims have developed a large power base.
- Characterized by great tolerance of others and their beliefs
- Don?t be fooled by the ?tolerant? face of Muslims you meet in the West
2. Consolidation
- A power base is now established
- Tolerance diminishes and greater demands are placed upon adherents
3. Revolution
- All opposition, no matter what kind, is challenged and either eradicated or subdued
4. Islamic State
- The Quran becomes the ?law of the land.?
- Religions other that Islam are forbidden to evangelize.
If the muslims can overcome by peaceful means, that is the avenue that they will take, but if they cannot win by peaceful means, ?jihad? is the next step. Most American and European muslims advocate co-existence and will quote the Quran, Surah 2:256 ?There is no compulsion in religion? but this is only a fa?ade because there is the law of abrogation which will annul all peace verses and bring the sword verses to advance Islam at any cost.
This is so well expressed by one of today?s foremost Islamic apologists, Ahmed Deedat of South Africa, when he writes:
?In the battle for the hearts and minds of mankind, ?cruci-FICTION? is the only card the Christian holds. Free him from his infatuation and you will have freed the muslim world from missionary aggression and harassment.?
To be a true muslim you have to be in constant 'jihad'
Surah 8:39 ?And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah?
Surah 5:51 ?Do not make friends with Christians and Jews?
Surah 9:29 ? Fight against Christians and the Jews?
Surah 5:70 ?Allah cursed and transformed the Jews into pigs?
Then there is this. Muhammad produced this one to prompt those Muslims who knew in their hearts that killing innocent people is wrong: ?Fighting is obligatory for you, as much as you dislike it.? Surah 2:216.
I think such a comparison would take pages, and unfortunately I simply do not know enough about Mohammad to make the comparison.
The one comparison that I do however feel happy to make is that both Mohammad and Islam seems very set on setting rules and telling you what you can and what you cant do. The Buddha on the other hand did not even want to share his knowledge, and only did so was to help people, and not for the glory of some imaginary god.
I think the only JOB that the Buddha held before he started following a spiritual path was that of Prince, but he gave that up.
One of the greatest things to me is that Buddhism does not claim to have produced ANY warriors. There definitely must have been and in future will be warriors who have been/are/will be Buddhist, but they have not been PRODUCED by Buddhism.
Islam is a rather militant religion from its very start - the conquests of Mohammad and the caliphs. Most of its expansion has been in 7Th century TBH.
Buddhism is a pacifist, non-theistic religion. So the fact that so many Buddhist got conquered and Islamized by Muslims is really not so strange, although it's rather sad.
Islam comes from the root word ?salaam?, which means peace. It also means submitting one?s will to Allah (Set). Thus Islam is a religion of peace, which is acquired by submitting one?s will to the will of the Supreme Creator, Allah (Set)

A Muslim has five main duties to perform, namely;

2) Observing the prescribed prayer
3) Payment of Zakat,
4) keeping the fasts of Ramadan
5) performing the pilgrimage to Mecca.
I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, and I bear witness that Mohammad is Allah's servant and His Messenger
Self praise has no meaning. Only the fools do so.This is why Islam is the most hated religion in the world and Muslims are looked at suspiciously wherever they go. No body trusts them.
Answer to Micky GG: women in Islam have more rights than you would know, a Muslim woman is not supposed to share her money whether inherited or by working, it is hers to have and keep she can share it with her husband only when she allows it, a woman in Islam when married keeps he maiden name...her fathers name, her roots contrary to Christianity she abandons her family name and roots and takes her husbands name therefore wiping all her identity. A woman in Islam has the right to leave her husband and get a divorce by only saying she cannot bare to have intimate relationship with her husband. Yes Muslim women do wear veils but not all wear it. Some Jewish women wear scarves, black stockings, dark shoes, long sleeves, and were considered impure when they had their monthly period, they were thrown out of the house so not to dirty the atmosphere, it was the custom centuries back but still some follow those customs these days,some Jewish women in the very strict religious laws are not supposed to expose their bodies in front of their husbands, they have sex with a sheet between their bodies so the husband will not see his wife, only a small opening in the sheet to have intercourse!. So when speaking of how women are 2ND class in Islam why not speak also of 2ND class women in other religions and society. If the women in Islam are abused and treated as 2ND class, it is not because Islam made them that way it is because society imposed on them those mistreatment, and society did not give women the right to a good education and the result is ignorance. In Islam during the prophet Mohamed, women were allowed to vote, Carry on meeting with scholars, fight with men in wars, riding horses and carrying a sword, they were successful traders. So please if you talk about women and Islam try doing some reading and not get influenced by a sick society. A bit of knowledge the right way will not harm you, on the contrary it will lighten up your ideas and close mind and just judging by what you see. By the way aren't Mormon women 2ND class Christians? They were scarves, covered from head to toe, and are supposed to accept many other wives to their husbands!,,, if I'm not mistaken they are Christians??
