Default What Is The Essence Of Buddhism?

I love the simple Zen proverb "No Self, No Problem", but would like to hear your thoughts.

Look inward for answers, not to something external.

the essence of Buddhism is the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path, which basically says end your suffering by doing that which is correct in all situations.

Seek your answers within yourself and base your understanding upon your personal lived experience.

S. Buddha figured that suffering exists because of desires. Therefore, attaining a state in which you lack all desire (nirvana) was the key to freeing the spirit.

Oh, heck; just go ogle it.

If we attain "no self," then we attain the essence of Buddhism, which is "How can I help you?"

When we cling to some idea of self, then we only are interested in helping ourselves. This is not Buddhism.
