Default The founder of Christianity a Jew killer and a persecutor of early Christians?

14 of the 27 books of the Christian bible come from someone that "asserts" that he "met" the prophet Yeshua on the "Road to Damascus".. After he had this "epiphany" he stayed in Damascus for a short time and immediately left for The Nabataean kingdom (which he called "Arabia").. After which he returned to Damascus which was then under Nabataen rule and stayed there for "several years".. He didn't meet with Peter or James the Just until MANY YEARS later..

This man has hijacked the memory and teachings of the prophet Yeshua and molded the early Christian faith for his own personal goals.. (A violation of the 3rd commandment)..

Why would the entirety of Christendom put all of their faith in a man that killed Jews AND Christians for so long and them "claimed" that he was suddenly "anointed" by the prophet Yeshua to deliver the WORD OF GOD to the Jews and Gentiles for conversion to a faith that worshiped a normal human man as part of the ALMIGHTY GOD?

Saul....who became Paul, is the ultimate example of God's grace. HE used a man filled with sin and hatred. Most people connected with Saul/Paul, and lived by his example. They continued to do so after he was converted. Paul used his life as a living example of what the Grace of God could do.

If you really want useful answers, you should probably avoid putting all of your preconceptions and prejudices into your questions.

I'm not sure where you get your information, but you're obviously upset about something. I'm sure Christians don't *believe* that that is what they are doing. I certainly don't. Besides, they don't pay attention to half of the bible anyway, unless it agrees with them. And it is a book written by humans. So it's fall able. ::shrug::

Jesus Christ founded Christianity

St. Peter and St. Paul were born Jews and neither endorsed the killing of Jews.

St. Peter's primary focus at one point had been to convert Jews to the Christian faith.

St. Paul's primary focus was the convert Gentiles to the Christian faith because he realized Jesus who was a Jew himself did not come just for the Jews but for Jews and Gentiles.

First of all Paul did not do what he did for his own personal gain. Also God can create miracles.

By the way are you calling Jesus a "normal human man"? Have you ever seen a normal human man do what he did?

He was a convert.

That's how Christianity got its beginning... Jew's converting (or at least accepting Jesus) to Christianity.

This is a very important step in becoming a globally recognized religion.

As much as you can view me in behalf of the Believers in your life, AnxiusVigilans, who have hurt you or caused you such pain, I'm asking for your forgiveness.
I'm sorry for the confusion...the hurt...the anguish...the pain that has been put on you. I'm sorry, & I ask you to forgive me.

First of all the Bible has 66 books! The Old Testament and the New Testament the New Testament half of the Bible is all after Jesus was born and it has 27 books, I can see you don't read the Bible and you just got this info from someone else. Yes Paul persecuted the church and yes he did have an epiphany, but man if people would just read the BIBLE AND NOT PICK OUT PARTS TO MAKE IT LOOK BAD READ IT CAUSE APPARENTLY YOU HAVEN'T!

Where in the Bible did you read that Paul killed Jews?
He persecuted the Church and then God choose him, why? I don't know because God uses who he wanted to!

I am sorry I attacked you, but just read the Bible and ask God to help you will understand.

Whomever asked this question definitely has a misconception about Christianity! What did Paul himself say when one Say's "I am of Paul" or "I am of Apollos" were they Crucified for you? Christianity to me is not about what people have done, but on the contrary about the perfect sacrifice necessary for God to reconcile man back into a right relationship with Himself.

What personal goals and gain? Paul gave up his status in as a Pharisee to follow Jesus and in turn was jailed, beaten, flogged, ridiculed, and finally put to death by beheading. Either he was a true convert or his grand plan was really unsuccessful
