Do you think Christianity is successful mostly becuase of encouraging procreation?

Obviously if a culture or society places high value on giving birth and making more of the people in the culture, that culture will grow. Also a sense of ethics leads to higher birth rates, and general rules of cleanliness disguised as tradition. What is it that you think?
No religion discourages procreation because, obviously, if they didn't make more of themselves there would be no religion.

i don't know of any religion that "discourages" procreation!
Christianity has been successful because of its strong messianic and colonizing tendencies. and because of the power of the gun, cynical though it may sound. look at history, the spread of Christianity went hand in hand with colonization.

I feel most of it's success comes from intimidating children. I was victimized by Christians when I was 5 to 7 years old. Today at the ripe old age I feel America should ban organized religion. It's been the cause of more lost lives than any other reason in the history of man.

I personally feel the "God created us in his image" is the most arrogant statement ever forced on a child.

Christianity is successful because of the truth it holds, and people can see that!

I think Christianity is successful because it is only religion that teaches you could never be good enough to earn your way to Heaven and only by God's grace-unmerited favor-by definition given to those whom God chooses. He shows compassion on whom He chooses and He hardens whom He chooses.We are His created vessels, some for honor, some for dishonor.
