Well, you can't believe in everything that you read. Remember, these books were written in a Patriarchal society... they would do anything to keep females mentioned as little as possible and seem evil.
Eve, Deborah, Rebecca, Sarah, Ruth, Bathsheba, Abagail, Zipora, Jezebell, Mary, Mary Magdalene, The woman who was the head of the church of Ephesus.
These are all key people in the Bible and in Christianity.
God often uses male figures to characterize certain aspects of Christianity because for example his relationship Jesus most closely resembles a father/son relationship.
His relationship to us is characteristic to a Father/Child relationship etc.
Lucifer before he was Satan was the equivalent of one of God's generals. No way could the reader relate to a female general, Especially in ancient times.
Satan is a spirit, and is therefore not truly male of female anatomically, but in character is male.
First...GOD is nor male nor female. "GOD is". when you cannot understand that you are not alone...millions of Christians are not understanding that either... The Devil is an Archangel and has no gender too. But Jesus was a human Beeing who was ascending. and now he also has any gender anymore. So as you can see, we have nor men, nor women in your question above.
Because women are dirty. They have Periods. This should also keep them out of politics, college, social clubs, and Walmart. Strip Clubs are an exception as men need those to relieve tension from their Religion
Yet several females are in the lineage of the Christ. And that the Messiah would be of the "Seed of the Woman" and not by the seed of man. The most prominent roles in the New Testament are women. There are two books named after women, Esther and Ruth. Considering how women are treated in other cultures of that time, I think the Bible honors women for that you think.
There are plenty of women who have played prominent roles in Christianity -- including those named in the Bible as well as the saints and other prominent women through Church history.
In my religion (Roman Catholicism) there are no women priests, but women play a wide range of leadership roles in the Church. They head up all sorts of Church agencies, parish and diocesan councils, and whatnot.
And despite the claim that the Vatican is "run by a bunch of old men," women theologians have a great impact on modern Church teaching.
read Hebrews 11. this is the "Bible hall of fame". most are men, yes, but there are a few women mentioned. in the new testament, Jesus's most devoted followers were women. but you probably dint read that book too much, now do you?
Have you really read? I mean that question respectfully...
There is Ruth, Esther, Deborah, Pricilla, Mary the earthly vessel used to bear JESUS CHRIST, Martha, Elizebeth, Mary Magdeline, Lydia....
