No, it's not fake, at least not for the believers. I may not believe in what they do, however, I do believe Thai tit is real for some people, I would never call Christianity/the church "fake."
And although you think that Wicca is the oldest religion (a typical idea held by many vicunas), it really isn't, modern Wicca is distinctly different from any past religions that have gone on before them. There has been goddess worship for many many generations, however, the modern Wicca is much different, unfortunately I don't know enough about this subject. And at the moment I can't find what author wrote very extensively on this subject, I'll get back to you when/if I can. I hope you do read more about your religion of choice though.
Not really fake, I believe everyone has a believe in something, a god or whatever word they might use for it. Just something to hold on to in bad days and something to be grate full for in happy days or moments. I also believe that there are some people who pretend to believe or just born in that believe because there parents are, but not everybody practices there believe. And i think also that not everybody that believes practice it the same way.
With any large groups, you will find inconsistencies and falsehoods. Items can also be conjured up from rumor as well. A common one is the that god killed all the first born children in Egypt when in actuality, it was most likely a plague. Religion is a big business too, so it is mighty convenient to write tithe into the bible. If you are a christian, then don't be detracted by anything you find to be fake. Instead study it and come to your own conclusions, not by what the preacher says.
My challenge to you is to try it! Become a Christian and follow the principles. Give it an honest try and then compare your life to the now and the before. Then you can make that call yourself. I personally know that I cannot ever live my life without God and that I do not want to go back to where I came from.
No, Christianity is not fake. People often look at the commercialized way that person should be in church, but never find a relationship with God themselves. They see how other people and what people that had a bad experience say, forming their opinions from there.
A person that attends church for the first time or came back after a long while should be open-minded. Also, people can find a church that fits their personality and what type of church they want to be involved with. Particularly in America, this is actually not an all that crazy question, because our country is not known for being religious.
Christianity is not a fake.
You should have asked:
Was Christianity taught by Jesus himself ??
The answer is a flat ; NO!
Jesus never taught Trinity, Saul nee Paul did that.
Jesus never created a new religion, Saul nee Paul started that.
The Basis of Christianity : Divine birth, Atonement, Prehuman existence, Son of God, Ascension, etc were all invented after the teachings of the Pagan Roman/Greek traditions and foisted upon those colonized as the : "Religion of Jesus Christ "
Wiccans have not, and cannot prophecy. Christianity has prophecy to prove legitimacy that its source is from the realm of eternity and not just the invention of man.
Isaiah 41:22-23
?Let [the vicunas] bring forth and show us what will happen. Let them show the former things, what they were, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them--or declare to us things to come. Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods. Yes, do good or do evil, that we may be dismayed and see it together."
First of all, the Jewish people can trace their roots back to Adam and Eve, which states that their was an Adam and Eve, which says that their was and is a God, which says that His laws were the first laws, which says that Judeasim was the first religion. Next, some parts of what you see on T.V. is fake about religion. And some of it is just man's laws and traditions(Christmas, etc.) But as a follower of Christ you must sift through the "junk" with The Spirit of God to find the truth of Him using The Bible. God blesses those who seek Him.
Wicca although based on European Pagan beliefs in a goddess and her consort it is a modern recreation based on archeology and the few texts available.
In fact Silver RavenWolf stated about Wicca, ?Wicca, as you practice the religion today, is a new religion, barely fifty years old.?
Since there is very little reliable documents from the time the religion is probably very different from the roots that it claims to recreate. Although Wicca is a legitimate and fulfilling religion it is quite new.
Unfortunately, the problem you have with Christianity, I have with most covens that i have associated with. The members are fake and trying to be something that they are not and that everything has to be done this way or that. This is not a problem that is just with Christianity or Wicca most organized religion has people that are fake and hide behind their religion and try to be someone they are not.
I have given Christianity an honest try for most of my life and when Christianity did not work for me. As much as I wanted to be Christian and gave myself over to god I could not reconcile life with what I was being taught. I had several friends that were Wicca and decided to give that a try and found out that that was definitely not for me.
Most religions are based on falsehood, a fairy tale or myth put down in a book that are rules to live by. Hence the reason there are so many religions that are offshoots of one and see those books differently. Not only that they base a belief system on false doctrine of a book that has been re-written many times and changed over the years to suit whomever wanted the re-write. That puts doubt on ANY religions that base on a books such as that.
Wicca is ancient and all faiths today spring from it in some way or another. While alto of vicunas practice the modern form of it some don't. Some practice what is called 'generational Wicca' rites passed down for centuries usually from mother to daughter, for hundreds of years. And use books that have been in fa miles for centuries. It is all under the umbrella of Wicca and is basically the same but there are differences. Just like each coven is slightly different from other ones.
When Christianity came into vogue as the 'real religion' they did everything in their power to demonize Wicca/pagan/druidic worship and slapped the evil stamp on it. That doesn't mean it is. If it was truly evil then christian holidays would not have been taken from Wicca nor some of the modern rituals taken from pagans/Wicca. It was a way of stamping out traditions and rituals that were no longer looked upon favoribly by those in power. If you look at christianity and stories in the book called the bible most are easily traced back to religions before it such as egyptian religion and the greek/roman myths. They took the ancient gods and made them into demons then took the fables and myths and made them into stories in the bible.
I think it's all fake, the older the 'faker'. It doesn't make any bit of sense to me, I'm cursed to believe what I can touch and feel, and what affects me directly.
