Default To what extent is it useful to base morality on christianity? 10 marks?

I'm not gonna lie, this is my ethics homework. I have the flu and haven't the energy to do it by myself. Can anyone help?

Christianity says it's okay to kill people as long as they disagree with you, and that theft is worse than rape. I'd say that pretty much gives it a -1000000000000/10 or so in terms of usefulness.

It is a useful fallacy for controlling others.

It IS a fallacy. Morality is not dependent on religion. But if the religious leaders can dupe the members of the religion into thinking it is then it is easier to expand the power of the religion and it's control over society.

Control over society is very useful in amassing power and wealth.

Shameful. You should ask your teacher for an extension. It's useful in some ways since Christianity includes many of the basic laws and principles we would include in a real system of morality that isn't based around the existence of God. Namely, don't kill, don't steal, the golden rule, and maybe one or two more. After that, I don't know to say that it is useful.
