Yes, there is free will. Christianity is not a controlling religion.

Jesus said "Behold, I stand at the door and knock."

Please attend another church and stop relying on the book for the time being.
Try talking to GOD. He gives me choices at all times.

Following God is a choice. If you have already chosen... then you cannot choose again. So as following God is a choice i am guessing not. Pretty stupid question really.

What grounds do you have that Christianity is a controlling religion?

Are you one of those people who think all rules are oppressive? Do you have a foundation for your belief that Christianity is controlling?

Sure there are rules in Christianity but we have the freedom to follow those rules and take God's word on trust or reject God's word because we'd rather forge our own destiny and take the consequences of our actions.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19

My friend Christianity is not a controlling religion, as you can see from the above quote, it gives you choice to choose for your self, but the Father makes it very clear to you the consequences of your choice, remember you are free to do whatever you want but the results are different for different choices!
