Am I the only Atheist more intimidated my Islam more than Christianity?

Seriously, I see so much hate and sarcasm towards Christians on here. Why? Christians had hardcore beliefs years ago(and some still do, but a VERY small minority) but Muslims STILL have extremely radical beliefs, and you can't deny even moderate Muslims have slightly extreme beliefs. You anti Christians can whine about abortion bombing all you want, but you know that doesn't even compare towards Muslim actions.


I mean yes Christians are silly, they deny evolution, they think Harry Potter is ''demonic'', among other silly beliefs, but they don't go around blowing each other up.....

Islam is the more backward religion in the sense that its followers tend to be more medieval in the way they do it....but in the west dishwasher Christianity is more widespread.

None of them intimidate me, if they did... I'd be a part of one of those religions. I want them all to stay out of the laws.

Because while Islam may have the higher probability of producing someone who will commit terrorism against me, it's Christians that affect my everyday life.

Using your logic, we should be more intimidated by an asteroid impact than the flu because an asteroid impact kills more people at once. However, the flu does more overall harm than asteroid impacts.

Also, I'm an American atheist. 90% of the people in my country believe this nutty crap, so of course it's going to be something I speak out against more.

I find all religions intimidating, when you delve into it there is very little difference between them.

In this country Christians legislate against the non-Christians to deny rights. The Muslims I know do not.

Islam and Christianity are exactly the same thing, with only minor differences in beliefs. Both have extremist factions that are equally dangerous to society.

You may want to learn a little more about Islam the religion verses what you may have learned from the behavior of some people who claim to be acting in the name of Islam, or others who may be trying to demonize a major world religion that millions chose to convert to by their own free will for its goodness and purity. You'll then learn that the majority of these Muslims including the million who are accepting and follow Islam are good decent people who care deeply for their fellow human beings and are not at all what you may currently imagine Muslims to be.

I would humbly suggest you get yourself a decent English translation of the Quran and read it. I'm certain, you'll be surprised by what you learn. After that don't have to become a Muslim, but at least you will understand the religion for what it really is. And you can also ask people here if you have questions. Good luck.

Yes, i do think that people criticize Christianity too much but the same thing applies for Islam.
