Anyone feel like a lot of these questions are a thinly veiled attempt to ridicule Chr
Really. It's getting pretty old. If I hear "All Christians are hypocrites" one more time...
It's just as inappropriate to make negative generalizations about Christians as any other group...although it certainly seems to be getting more socially acceptable. One wouldn't say that all Muslims are terrorists, for example. That would just be wrong.
A lot of people like to cite extremist, fundamentalist Christian opinions and pretend that they apply to all Christians. Let me help you out. They don't.
I know some people do label all Muslims as terrorists.. I'm just saying that they are wrong.
I single out Christianity because attacks on Christians are much more common on this site than any others. See for yourself.

And proper, correct Christianity does not ridicule those that disagree.... [sigh]
I KNEW I was gonna take a lot of crap for this...
Correction - people do say that all Muslims are terrorists. Stereotypes, generalizations, and these cruel attempts to deface religions arguably as old as the beginning of time, among other potential targets, are nothing but inventions of mankind. The more sensible people who don't fall victim to these generalizations and fallacies are the people who are willing to realize that not everything that they hear on TV is true. I for one do not think that Christians are hypocrites, and I would be the last to think that Muslims are terrorists, since I am one, myself. The point that I'm trying to make, I guess, is that you can't get rid of those generalizations and fallacies as long as mankind, as a whole, is too ignorant to figure out anything more on matters such as Christianity, Islam, etc.
I know that they are "baiting" people but I'll bite. I don't mind being considered a fool for God. How many chances to you get to say what you believe these days? Anyone who asks a question deserves an honest answer.
Does Tom Zarek also openly reject his faith in himself - a faith which establishes himself as his own god which he worships? There are those who attack Christianity who do not see that we are all very much alike - Christians believe in a Higher Power who has revealed Himself while there are atheists who believe that they answer to no one but themselves; that they are the pinnacle standard of their life and being. We all worship Someone - it can be God or ones self!
I agree with you - I think many questions are a thinly veiled attempt to ridicule Christianity. Furthermore, many of the questioners do not really know the God they are ridiculing.
Why do you single out Christianity? You may want to appear like you are speaking against people who attack any religion through generalizations but clearly you are offended by attacks on Christians only.
I agree there are covert and overt attempts here to ridicule other religions but frankly, I don't have a problem with that. This helps to bring out any flaws in all religions... better to have them out in the open than be ignorant of them.
I believe some religions are more tolerant, others are not but all religions have some flaws. Like all of them treat women as inferior... no problem if people want to talk about them.
I welcome this attitude.
By the way have you noticed that many people seek information about the qualities of a religion because they want to convert. In response to all such questions, there are always Christians who despise that choice and ask them to believe in Jesus.
Well if the person is asking for information that you don't have then either don't respond or respect his choice.
If any religion focuses only on converting people then a backlash is unavoidable.
The reason so many people ridicule Christianity is because Christianity ridicules anyone who isn't a Christian.
If you kick a bulldog, he's going to bite back.
My advice is that everyone just lets go and accepts their own beliefs and doesn't press them on anyone else.
Your thin skin is showing through the thin veil! Come on...are you suggesting that Christians are above any critique? The more that Christians (or any believer) reacts defensively the more likely I am to believe that they are not truly enlightened beings but rather just blind followers of a dogmatic belief system. Yes, there is a lot of subtle and not so subtle pointing's at the absurdities of organized religion on these boards. Why should Christianity be above some of that testing? I'm not a obviously not a Christian but I do try and show basic respect for all religious beliefs. However, I think that humor (pointing out the absurd, the ridiculous, the illogical) is one of the best ways to test out a religion and the people who believe in it.
So lighten up lady! Find and appreciate the humor. Maybe we'll all grow from it.
I'm sure a lot of them are. But I also notice a lot of questions that are a thinly veiled attempt to promote Christianity. I'd say there's probably a connection between the two things.
I agree 100% with your question, and I take offense to the person that stated Christians ridicule others. Just because we may not agree with lifestyle choices other make, does not mean we are mocking you.
Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Why do you, anyone, still consider there's any difference,
when Bible says: "there is no respect of persons with God"?
Where do you find "God" perceiving both clean and unclean?
Where do you, or anyone, find any "division" in "one" God?
Perhaps your 'brand' of 'Christianity' is not Christ-like?
Perhaps what reason-able, intelligent people are trying
to POINT out to so-called self-righteous 'Christians' is
there is one "merciful" God has same opinion of "us" all,
and did NOT law impute sin to any of "them" in 2Cor 5:19.
Quote from movie Crash perhaps has a moral:
You embarrass me, and you embarrass yourself.
We all are one!
One what?
The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Yes. But these are from other people who are definitely not christian . freedom of speech is what I say! so let it be . they get to say what they want to. Any way the people that ask those questions hate Herring people keep bra gin on about God [Like me].So they rebel
AWOMAN.Hahahahahahah!
You mean I won't make it into that man-made place called heaven? If I convert to a certain religion and martyr myself, can I share one of those 72 virgins with the 42 billion other followers? I'll promise to fight anyone that draws cartoons of insane people!
Maybe I am destined to go to that other man-made place called Starbucks (a.k.a. hell).
