Default Naming of demons in Christianity?

I'm a student of mythology and demonology, and i have noticed that it seems that the names of many Christian, Muslim and Jewish demons are closely related to those of the gods of Egypt, Greece, Norselands, and Punic areas. Does anyone know when this became common practice? If the names were just used to damn pagan religions during the beginning of Christianity then why are they still used?

The bible gives exactly one name for a demon

and that was more of a description than a name "Legion, for we are many"

It's likely demons or "bad entities" have been named since the creation of the first batch of religions.

Religions, like political systems, are social constructs; they require a positive deity for people to support, which increases group survival. The creation of negative entities further adds to a sense of group cohesion (unity through one or more common enemies).

Naming of demons outside of the Bible is speculation and fiction. The only name in the Bible is "Legion". Even Satan is a given name, as he was stripped of his name before he was cast out of heaven.

According to catholics God named all the angels and you are not allowed to name your guardian angel or any other angel except those few whose name we know from the Bible. Few angel names are recorded in the bible, but Lucifer, Gabriel, Micheal and that's all the ones I can recall.

So what names are you talking about, genuinely interested.
