Default If evolution is true, why does Christianity still exist?

Experimenting with a sneaky question syntax.
Yes, I'm an evolutionist and I know why/how evolution works, this question is just for fun.

Because Christianity represents the apex of human thought thus far.

If you actually know how evolution works, you'll be forced to agree with me. As I see it, you have only two choices:

1--Religion is limited to primitive thought and represents human history for the last 4 million years (which means people are born religious, not atheists, and must be educated out of it).

2--After 4 million years of human evolution, religion is the ultimate result, seeing how 95% of us are religious.

They aren't in direct contradiction. Genesis was likely not meant to be taken literal. The viewpoint that Genesis is not literal and that Christianity and science have no need to be in conflict was actually expressed in St. Augustine's writings centuries prior to the scientific revolution.

Instead of just picking on Christianity, why don't you ask why religion exists in general (there are worse ones out there)?

both can remain true at the same time, just because one is christian doesn't mean he or she doesn't believe in science, i believe in evolution as in over a long period of time creatures inherit new developments to better survival, however i do not believe so extreme that we were some old day butt monkeys running around dumbfounded and one day we were humans, if that were so so true what happened to the modern day monkeys that exist, why didn't they evolve into humans? its so re tarted. truth be told we have souls, animals do not, hence they dint have the feel of right or wrong

Christianity is an older theory and already had millions of people in the fold when the theory of evolution was made public. Evolution is gaining ground, thanks to education.

It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one with most money from indulgences.

if evolution is now a fact and not a theory then why would it have to be believed to be true?

Because humans have the very unique ability to piggyback on others' inventions for survival.
Intelligence doesn't have to improve as a whole as long as someone is smart enough to keep the majority alive.

You're an "evolutionist" who uses the word "evolutionist". Great. Are you pro-choice but use the term pro-death?

Ignorance and a lack of logic and reasoning

Also, threes a psychological term called 'belief perseverance.' It pretty much says that you can prove somebody wrong, and they'll still believe it.

I am Christian. I believe in creationism. I also believe in evolution.
There's your answer.
One does not mean that the other is not true.

Also, is all the Christian hate really necessary? It is possible to get along with someone who doesn't believe the same thing as you.

And sadly, just for fun, the answer is that those who don't accept evolution don't understand it, and reject it because it is science. Gods are easier to understand, when you believe the bible has the monopoly on truth.

Remember who you are dealing with... the least educated, the least intelligent of our population.

Pretty much says it all.

if evolution is true, why did Christianity ever exist?
is it driven by evolution and serving to better the existence of man? if this is the case why do men deny it?
your false premise is that science trumps God. science is a study of God's creation.
