Default Why does everyone discourage Christianity? The Bible answers that yet you still don't

Atheists and other religions always bash on Christianity for no reason. You really could just leave us alone (I'm not saying you should leave us alone or anything, just making a point), but instead you choose to pester us. Do you wanna know why? "If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." John 15:19 There is no denying that this was written about two thousand years before us!
Is that not proof enough that the Jesus prophesied that this would happen? Is that not proof enough that the Bible is true? Truly what reason do you have to make immature jokes about us or say that we are unintelligent. I may not be intelligent, but I know who I am living for.
These are exactly the kinds of answers I expected. We Christians are by no means perfect or innocent, I haven't gone a day without sinning. The difference is that God is still working in my life and guiding me through making changes in my lifestyle. He offers to guide me everyday, but instead I trade it for useless video games. And also, I understand what you guys are saying about us Christians kind of flooding you at school and work and such, a strong Christian will know when there is no hope for this person and whether or not God is calling them to be one of His Children. But nonetheless, stop whining and realize what silly mistakes accusations or comments you are making. If this is offensive, well than I pray that instead it will be convicting.
If you want proof of God, look around you and see all of the good things God has created, yes GOD not some chemicals and a lot of luck. And as for the bad things, how many of those can you honestly say wasn't created by humans and our sin?

Keep your influence out of the schools and government and see how ready we are to leave you alone.

"Why does everyone discourage Christianity?"

Because it purports to be the truth, yet offers no credible, unambiguous evidence toward its claims.

"Is that not proof enough that the Jesus prophesied that this would happen?

Given that the same thing was happening in the era in which he supposedly lived? No, it's not proof of any sort; it was simply a logical assumption on the part of the author.

No, everyone hates you because you stick your claws into legislation, schools, public buildings, etc. There's that, and being told I am going to hell because I am gay over and over is getting old really fast. If you people would mind your own business, I think you'd find nobody would bother you.

As to your response, you are in no position to get snippy with people for being tired of hearing your crap all the time. We don't care what you believe, and I don't want to be Antone's child other than my own parents. As long as you continue with your current line of thinking, the only people you will ever recruit are people who are emotionally distraught and need something to cling to in order to feel better. Sorry, but that's the truth.

?Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? -Then he is not omnipotent.

Is he able, but not willing? -Then he is malevolent.

Is he both able and willing? -Then whence comet evil?

Is he neither able nor willing? -Then why call him God??

While some Atheists and other religions... (?? being an atheist is not a religion) 'bash' on Christianity, I have never met a single person who 'bashes' for no reason. They don't like people who are intolerant, hateful, or who attempt to force their views down other people's throats (which is basically so-called Christians bashing them.)

I opt not to bash. I simply ignore what I don't want to hear.

Because it doesn't appear to be true, this is fundamental to anyone who cares for the truth.

It causes pointless division.

It causes undue and exploitative privilege.

It hamstrings morality.

It weighs us down.

It is nothing but ancient mythology and superstition.

It makes people dishonest, look at your ridiculous prophecy claims.

We would all be better off without it.

Just because the Bible is old, doesn't mean it's true. They also used to think that the Earth was flat. Get off of your high horse.

If you really think you are that innocent, you are mistaken. The reason Christianity is so big is because of its intolerance for other religions, the only way for it to live is to spread and you incessantly multiply like insects. Not to mention my daily life is saturated with ignorant bigots who would like nothing more than to spew their religious crap all over the place. I will not be bullied into silence.

Amen! Keep on keeping on.

2 Tim 1:12-14
12For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
13Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dweller in us.
(KJV)

When I was a kid in the 70's, short haired kids were ostracized in school. But in church, my hair inspired the preacher to preach against it. After service, he even spoke to my dad about it. After that, I got beat if I came back from the barber with just a trim. Oh yeah, and rock and roll were of the devil and the Beatles were the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, because they have long hair. Christianity is retarded.

The vast majority of atheists don't actually care about what you believe. The only reason atheists are annoyed is because people are trying to put religion into all sorts of places where it doesn't belong, like our laws and public school science classes. Have you ever noticed that American atheists never talk about Hinduism? The reason is because Hindus aren't trying to pass laws based on Hinduism, and they're not trying to get Hindu beliefs taught in schools.

Those who are not for Christianity are against it and that is because they serve the god of this world -Satan who blinds the eyes of unbelievers and tries to encourage them to ridicule believers to discourage the Christian in his or her witness. It is not possible for anyone to sit on the fence and not get involved in choosing who they will serve, for those who don't serve Christ after hearing the Gospel are servants of Satan and are used by him to discourage believers.

Please present reliable verifiable evidence supporting the existence of a deity..

No the bible does not qualify as "proof" as it is neither a reliable nor a verifiable..

As the Lord Jesus Christ said if they hate me they will hate you.I know that he is the only GOD the Son of GOD,the same.It is like abortion which I am 100% against if we stand against it people look at us as Christians as haters. It makes no sense but it does going by the WORD OF GOD.I heard a preacher say when like if we were watching some animal show on TV and a tiger or any other animal eats or kills its own pups,we say oh that is horrible but when a mother aborts her own child it is pro choice. Now that is screwed up.

"Everyone" doesn't.

And I don't "bash," I disagree based on evidence and logic and reason. And not for no reason, but because many christian believers use their unsupportable beliefs as motivation to try and make their religion into laws, control what's taught in science classes, control other people's behavior, and punish those who don't accept their irrational beliefs.

There's no evidence your imagined god is real. If you want to believe it is, go right ahead -- and use it as a personal, private "guide" for your life. But the moment you go public with your beliefs claiming they're "true," or try to involve them in politics or education, rational people are going to point out the flaws in your beliefs and actions. You don't want to be ridiculed for believing in things for which there is no evidence of any kind? Then don't go around claiming your "beliefs" are real. Or saying things like "god is still working in my life," because no evidence supports such an outrageous claim.

Peace.

LittleBi- I have no doubt that you are intelligent. Your question is articulate. But that is the point. IF you weren't intelligent, there would be no point in pestering you, but the fact is that you have chosen to downplay your intelligence for the sake of faith and that is unsettling because faith is not governed by the dictates of reason or logic.

Logic and reason requires that one follows a fairly narrow road, but faith leads in countless directions relying on arbitrary and subjective decisions. You will of course say that your direction is guided by God, but so will countless other people following their religion and their faith. And it has led to inquisitions, witch burnings, terrorist bombings, etc..

More specifically, there is no proof that the Bible is the true word of God. It must be taken on faith and there is very little, in the way of logic or reason, other than hermeneutics, that supports that faith.

What bothers me the most is that "faith" erodes humility. The truth is that none of us KNOW, but the faithful always seem likely to take that next step- from Believing to Knowing and that self-righteousness is very scary for the rest of us.

Your highly biased. You need to get it into you brain that Atheism doesn't hate religion, we just don't believe in what you do. You think that people hate you because of your religion, but they hate you as a person because you can't understand anything that doesn't involve Christianity.
