Default What makes Christianity any more credible than Scientology?

(Excluding the fact of the number of adherents)

Numbers alone don't contribute to the validity of one particular faith. I'd argue that there is no evidence to point to the validity of the theology behind either religion.

Nothing, there is no reason to believe in any religion over another.

Just look at the beliefs of both "religions": Christianity is grounded in historical facts (just read A Case for Christ by Lee Strobel), whereas Scientology is from what I understand a conglomeration of various theories people developed a long time ago:

"From the Christian viewpoint, Scientology is a modern Pelagian heresy, mixed with gnosticism, spirit ism, legalism to the nth degree, with no grace, no mercy, and 100% works. Scientology teaches that each man is as god, already possessing eternal existence, capable (through Hubbard's technology) of becoming totally free. From the Christian viewpoint, Scientology as Satanic in origin."

What is your criteria for credibility? Religions addresses spiritual salvation and is a personal reality (or no reality) for each individual.
Besides Scientology isn't trying to compete with any other religion in any sphere.

?We are all denominational rather than non-denominational, and so we should be perfectly willing to include in our ranks a Moslem or a Taoist, as well as any Protestant or Catholic??

From the book "Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought":

Credible means "capable of being believed; believable"

Both are credible, depending on your personal reality (belief). You would need to make a personal choice based on looking for yourself.

Jesus might have had good intentions like many people do but L Ron Hubbard merely founded a "science of the mind" because he wanted wealth and power and then called it a religion when the tax authorities came snooping, go ogle "religious cloaking". Scientology started handing out white collars to all it's "ministers" en Massey as soon as it was decided to pursue that course.

Scientology operates as a business in Israel just so it can operate, do you know of any Christian church or other self-respecting religion that would do that? There are none.
